Originally named Handicapped Education and Living Programs, Inc. (HELP), the organization now known as Riverside Resources, Inc. was founded in 1967 by a small group of parents who saw a need for the development of community-based services for children with disabilities... Our mission is to be responsive to the choices and needs of persons with developmental disabilities by providing opportunities and services to support their preferences for working and living in their community... Learning to be as independent as possible whether working, taking care of yourself and your home, or enjoying social activities with your friends, Riverside resources, Inc. wants to encourage and support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by equipping the clients with the tools necessary in order to achieve their goals.
