Chris Sanders began his career in construction in 1981 as an estimator for the International Division of Blount Construction, located in Montgomery, AL. He performed estimates on several projects located in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Malaysia and the Bahamas. As part of a three person team selected by the company's chairman, he spent eight weeks in Malaysia performing market research and developing a business plan for Blount to enter the Kuala Lumpur construction market. In 1983, Chris joined McDevitt and Street Company as an assistant project manager, relocating to Richmond, VA to work on a twenty-story, $20 million office project located in the city's downtown area. With McDevitt and Street, Chris was quickly promoted to project manager, senior project manager, and then group manager. He opened an office for McDevitt and Street in Norfolk, where he had total responsibility for the success of the company in Hampton Roads. In 1988, Chris joined Armada Hoffler Construction Company as vice president of operations. He was soon promoted to executive vice president of the company, and was promoted to president in 1996. During his tenure at Armada Hoffler, the construction company's revenues grew from $25 million to over $180 million per year. Armada Hoffler was ranked as the top 400 contractors in the nation from 1993 through 2000 and became the largest general contractor headquartered in Virginia. In 1999, Chris was selected to be a partner in the Armada Hoffler Development Company, which had $300 million under various phases of development throughout the Southeast. Armada Hoffler Development was a premier developer of office, retail, and some limited hospitality projects, including public/private partnerships. Chris joined Robinson Development Group in the summer of 2000 as Vice President and brings his vast background and expertise in design/construction and development to the Robinson Development team. Chris' extensive experience includes a successful completion of a wide variety of projects in the areas of hospitality, retail, office facilities, industrial, and healthcare.

Dare Ruffin joined Robinson Development Group in 2022. Dare was previously with Morgan Stanley in New York City for 7 years working in a variety of roles. Most recently, she was a vice president in loan originations for the Commercial Real Estate Lending Group, focusing on select securitized and balance sheet lending. Prior to that, she worked in a capital markets role for the CRE Lending Group. She began her career at the firm's Securitized Products Sales Group as a distributions analyst. Dare is an active member of the Hampton Roads community serving on the boards of Families of Autistic Children in Tidewater (FACT) and RiseVB. When she's not at the office, you'll find her adventurous spirit outside enjoying activities such as skiing, fly fishing, and piloting helicopters.

Hal Yuill joined Robinson Development Group in 2016. His experience includes underwriting and closing over $700 million in commercial assets throughout Hampton Roads, as well as managing the operations of a 6.7 million square foot office and industrial portfolio located in Greater Richmond and Hampton Roads. Hal is a member of the Hampton Roads Association of Commercial Real Estate and the CCIM Institute. Hal is active in the local community and serves on the Norfolk Academy Alumni Board.

Hank Robertson joined Robinson Development Group in 2021. Hank was previously with Highwoods Properties Richmond Division for 21 years, initially as Director of Development and later as Director of Operations. Hank was responsible for the planning and development of over 3 million square feet of commercial projects including multiple corporate headquarters, suburban office buildings, and industrial warehouses in both the Richmond and Tidewater markets. Hank was with McDevitt & Street for 12 years as Project Manager and during his tenure there oversaw commercial office, hotel, institutional and retail projects in Richmond, Tidewater and Northern Virginia.

Perry Frazer joined Robinson Development Group as a financial analyst upon his graduation from the University of Georgia- Terry College of Business, where he double majored in Finance and Real Estate. Perry's work experience includes summer analyst rolls with Wilbanks Smith & Thomas and Berkadia. Perry also worked part time as a Real Estate analyst during his last year at Georgia, where he assisted in underwriting loans, assembling offering memorandums, and sourcing financing for clients.

Tim Culpepper joined Robinson Development Group from Bank of America, where he was vice president and client manager for commercial real estate customers in the Hampton Roads and Richmond markets. While at Robinson Development, Tim has been responsible for the acquisition of over 3 million square feet of office and office/warehouse product in markets from Richmond, VA through Charlotte, NC. Tim has also led the acquisition and development of over 4,000 residential lots/units in markets from Charlottesville, VA to Raleigh, NC.

Tom Robinson formed Robinson Development Group in 1983 to specialize in build-to-suit projects and corporate headquarter development. Since that time, he has developed and or purchased over 4 million square feet of commercial and residential development in the Mid-Atlantic. He currently serves as the President and Director for Robinson Development Group. Prior Experience After serving as a captain in the United States Marine Corps, Tom started his career as a project manager for the real estate department of the Prudential Life Insurance Company. Tom was Director of Development for two regional development companies: Goodman Segar Hogan and Armada Hoffler. He has developed every type of commercial development including corporate headquarters, regional malls, urban and suburban office building, multi-family, condos, and all types of warehouse and distribution facilities. He has developed many projects for federal and state governments, including a 320,000 square foot research facility for undersea warfare. His projects have won numerous design awards, and many of his projects today are with repeat customers.

Tony Smith has arranged nearly one billion dollars in equity and debt financing, using his strong financial background to gain the lowest possible rates and flexible deal structures. He has negotiated several hundred leases in the past twenty years, including fifteen totaling over 750,000 square feet for the state and federal governments. He has served as project manager for nearly 1,500,000 square feet of speculative and build-to-suit projects, delivering projects on time and under budget.
