ROCK POINT REAL ESTATE - Key Persons

Philip Lancaster

Job Titles:
  • Owner & Managing Broker
A graduate of local Covenant College, Philip served as a Presbyterian minister, magazine publisher and author, and Army Chaplain (MAJ - USAR) before returning to Chattanooga in 2004 to work with his extended family in their real estate ventures. After some years handling sales as a RealtorĀ® with RE/MAX, he founded Rock Point Real Estate as a residential property management and investment property sales company. At the beginning Philip managed smaller properties in Chattanooga exclusively (single family homes and 2-4 unit multifamily), but he soon expanded the company's scope of services and managed portfolios of apartment complexes (from 75 to 192 units) in Chattanooga, Atlanta, Birmingham, and other cities in the region. Along the way he earned multiple professional designations with the National Apartment Association, including Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) and Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS). In 2017 he made a strategic business decision: to return Rock Point to its roots and focus exclusively on the Chattanooga and north Georgia smaller property markets, including apartment complexes under 100 units. Philip is now applying his broad property management experience to the development of the business that he anticipates will in time become Chattanooga's premier residential property management and investment sales company due to Rock Point's core value of putting property owners first. Philip resides on Lookout Mountain with his wife Pam. They have six grown children and 16 grandchildren. Besides family gatherings his favorite diversions include reading, writing, genealogy, shooting, cycling, and gourmet food. Born in Chattanooga, a former Miss Chattanooga, and Notre Dame High School graduate, Wanda spent much of her adult life elsewhere. She studied at Indiana University and American University in Washington, D.C., with an emphasis in business and marketing. She enjoyed a very successful career in the entertainment and fashion industry. One of her positions was as director of stores for Louis Vuitton, Paris, which involved extensive travel to major cities in Europe and the United States and in which position she became a master of communications and customer service. Along the way she also was in demand as a jazz vocalist and performed in venues as varied as Germany, Japan, New York, and Washington, D.C. Returning to Chattanooga in 2007, Wanda obtained her real estate license and worked with a large property management company since sold to an out-of-state firm. During those years she onboarded over 600 properties and managed over 250. As a RealtorĀ® she also worked extensively with real estate investors and facilitated the purchase and sale of their properties. One year her sales exceeded $2.5 million.
