Alan J. Irvin

Alan J. Irvin concentrates his practice in commercial and business litigation, general business and real estate. Alan has handled a wide variety of litigation matters in his career, and also represents and counsels start-up companies, and small businesses, with respect to business formation, acquisitions and sales, real estate development, transfers and financing, and other matters typically confronting the business owner. He frequently serves as local counsel in cases pending in state courts throughout Indiana and in the local federal courts. Alan typically handles complex and novel business litigation matters and contract disputes, commercial collection matters, plaintiff's personal injury litigation, and real estate litigation. He has experience litigating estate, trust and inheritance disputes, non-compete and trade secret cases, and tax controversies, in addition to litigation of matters involving franchise law, ERISA, consumer protection law, employment, products liability, professional liability, construction disputes, insurance coverage, and creditor's rights/bankruptcy issues. In recent years, Alan's litigation practice has often involved representation of closely-held companies and their owners in derivative and direct action litigation involving claims for breach of fiduciary duty and other business torts. He has significant experience in litigation between members of limited liability companies (LLCs) and issues related thereto. He has been an author and speaker on the subject. Alan's business and transactional practice has involved and continues to include representation of both buyers and sellers in asset/stock sale and purchase transactions, business formations, contract drafting and negotiation, and general business counseling. He has been involved in several commercial real estate acquisitions and financing transactions, and has assisted clients with real estate development and zoning matters. Alan has served as counsel for two major title insurance underwriters with respect to both transactional and real estate litigation matters. DeAnn L. Farthing

Biography DeAnn L. Farthing, a partner at Robinson & Farthing LLC, is Of-Counsel with R. Lee & Associates. She is a life-long Indiana resident and highly rated attorney with extensive experience practicing in the areas of estate planning, probate, trust administration, guardianships, corporate formation, and general business litigation and operation. DeAnn and her team are a great fit with R. Lee & Associates approaching client relationships with the same compassion and understating. DeAnn strives to help her clients develop effective solutions and strategies aimed to achieve their legacy goals. Ms. Farthing works to educate individuals in all stages of life on the importance of planning. She daily provides information to interested clients that answer "what if" questions. Robert C. Lee is the president and founder of R. Lee & Associates, P.C. Rob is a graduate of Indiana University (B.A. with distinction) earning Phi Beta Kappa honors and Vanderbilt University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in the State of Indiana, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, and the State of Michigan. Rob has dedicated his legal practice to providing business law, estate and trust services to individuals, families and business owners. He strongly believes in building solid relationships based on trust and confidence and providing legal services in an effective and timely manner.
