Adam has over 35 years' experience in the South African financial services industry. He has been a governor of the SA Institute of Financial Markets for over 20 years and is currently the chairperson. He has been a director of two stock broking companies and an investment structuring company. Adam has vast experience in the equity, bond and foreign exchange markets and has been involved with derivatives from their introduction to South Africa in the late 1980s. He has been instrumental in designing and implementing structured transactions for asset managers, pension funds, life companies and CIS funds. Anne Clayton is the Head of Public Policy for the JSE. During her career, which spans a period of over 30 years, Anne has held executive positions in stockbroking firms, asset managers and international investment banks. Anne joined the JSE from Barclays Africa Group where she served as the Head of Regulatory Relations for Africa and, previously as the Head of Regulatory Strategy for Barclays Africa Corporate and Investment Bank. Before joining the Barclays Africa Group, Anne held a senior position in the Market Regulation division of the JSE. Anne's vast experience translates into a wide range of skills ranging from a depth of knowledge of financial markets to regulatory advocacy. Phumzile Maseko's professional career spans over 29 years, with most of this journey spent in public service. Phumzile has worked briefly in a higher learning institution, mostly in government (National Treasury, Department of Trade and Industry and Department of Sports, Arts Culture), and significantly in the banking sector (South African Reserve Bank, Nedbank and FirstRand Bank Limited). She held roles of Administrator, Trainee, Analyst, Dealer, Director, Treasurer and Executive. Academically, Phumzile holds the qualification BCom (Hons) MBL and has an ambition to formally pursue further studies in the near future. Over the years she has gained extensive knowledge and understanding of local and international debt capital markets, bank-treasury risk, marketing, funding, liability management, investment and portfolio risk management, balance sheet management, market research, stakeholder and relationship management, client relations, as well as team management. The exposure to African markets she has in recent years gives her insight into workings of those markets. Phumzile is based in Gauteng, South Africa and has travelled to interesting places around the globe. Prof. Daniel Makina

Daniel Makina is Professor of Finance at the University of South Africa who holds a PhD from Wits University. He is an NRF-rated researcher who has published extensively in peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. Notably, he contributed the chapter titled, "The mortgage market, character and trends: Africa" in the International Encyclopaedia of Housing and Home published by Elsevier in 2012. He also edited the special issue of the African Journal of Economic and Management Sciences on Financial Services in Africa published in 2017 as well as the book -Extending Financial Inclusion in Africa -published by Elsevier in 2019. He is a Fellow of the South African Institute of Financial Markets (SAIFM) and regularly contributes to its magazine.

Robert J Van Eyden

Robert J Van Eyden (PhD) Currently, he holds esteemed positions, including board member of the South African Institute of Stockbrokers and the University of Pretoria council member. Furthermore, he serves as the CEO of IG, South Africa. With over 35 years of experience, Robert has held prominent roles such as CEO of three stockbroking firms and global head of research and analysts. His journey in finance began as an academic, lecturing finance at the University of Pretoria. In addition, he has authored three books. His latest publication, "Badass Trader," focuses on the art of trading, providing valuable insights for professionals in the field. He has also written two books geared towards retail investors, "The Money Fountain" and "Investing Happiness," offering practical advice on investment strategies.
