Founded in 1996 by James Mathe, RPGShop.com has undergone many phases as an eCommerce platform serving the international role-playing community. At one stage part of the RPGHost network of sites, RPGShop is now one of the last remaining sites from that network, and a proud living piece of gaming history. In 2015, the site was sold to then Kickstarter and Shipping Manager of Minion Games, Matthew Vercant, who refocused the site on custom made dice and accessories, with James Mathe's guidance for a time in the background. The site was down for maintenance following Mathe's passing in 2019, before coming back online in early 2020. RPGShop operates only online as a mail-order business.
