The couple met in New York City in the late 1960's. The huge grass-roots movement of the times inspired them to follow their dream of a more self-sufficient life, integrated with nature, far from the crush and noise of the city they'd grown up in. They got their chance in the early '70's when they bought a small piece of property in rural upstate New York...
