Betty ‘Carol' Mayou is a retired Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force, and has worked in public accounting in Arizona and Hawaii, specializing in small business accounting and taxation.
Courtenay is a Tucson native with strong ties to the Tucson community. She has an extensive background in operations, accounting and bookkeeping, with experience ranging from large wholesale and manufacturing companies to small businesses. She holds a B.S. in accounting from Colorado State University-Global Campus and also a degree in administration from Northern Arizona University.
In both her professional and personal life Courtenay strives for growth and balance. Naturally, Courtenay serves as the head of the firm's Health & Wellness committee. However, when not dedicating herself to the needs of Roberts Group's clients, she can be found training with kettlebells, reading, or spending time with her family.

Jack Roberts is passionate and dedicated to helping his clients achieve financial stability, and year after year his focus on this goal never waivers. Like his passion for skiing down the slopes, Jack is the driver of a dedicated staff, pushing vision, ethics and reminding the team that the Roberts Group is not just about doing taxes and financial statements, but about developing relationships that last a lifetime.
Jack's expertise includes work in individual, business and fiduciary taxation, auditing for projects with HUD-insured financing, employee benefit plans, succession planning and business consulting. Over the last three decades, Jack has refined his expertise in industries such as real estate and construction, transportation, logistics and automobile dealerships.
Jack is about taking a client not just for one year, but for as long as they need accounting services. He is devoted to serving their needs through times of happiness, tragedy and life's continuous transitions.
After graduating from the University of Arizona in 1980, Jack worked as a tax manager for a national firm where he gained invaluable experience that would later lead him to being a partner and leader at the Roberts Group. Jack has been providing financial and tax expertise to his clients in Southern Arizona since 1981.
Jack is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Arizona Society of CPAs, and has served the Southern Arizona community well. Jack was a tax instructor for Pima Community College, served as president of the Board of Trustees of Green Fields Country Day School and was treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors of the American Heart Association for six years.
As a partner and employer, Jack pushes his employees to work hard, but also enjoy life. Setting that example, Jack can be seen cycling and hiking along the Arizona trails and roads.
Lori has over 14 years tax and accounting experience and joined the firm in 2017. She prides herself on building relationships with her clients by providing excellent client service and making sure the client's concerns and goals are addressed. Lori's experience encompasses a wide range of accounting, tax and consulting services to a variety of small and medium sized businesses. She specializes in compiled financial statements and preparation of income tax returns for individuals, partnerships and corporations.
Lori received her bachelor's degree in Accounting and a master's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Accounting from the University of Phoenix. She has extensive knowledge of QuickBooks. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Arizona Society of CPAs.
Work-life balance is very important to Lori since spending time with family is her primary focus. She also loves to cheer for the Arizona Wildcats.
To say Mary Roberts is loyal is an understatement. Many of her clients date back decades to when she first started. Mary is meticulous and works hard to build long-term relationships with clients who continue to stay with her at the Roberts Group.
With more than 30 years of experience in public accounting, Mary has expertise in individual, trust, estate and partnership taxation. Mary is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Arizona Society of CPAs. Mary is a partner with the Roberts Group, where she works with husband Jack Roberts to provide taxation and consulting services to individuals, trusts, estates, partnerships and corporations.
Like running, a sport Mary started in her 50s, she sticks with you no matter how hard the job. Client service is similar to the marathons she has participated in over the years - it takes time to train and dedication get to the finish line. When it comes to assessing current and future clients, Mary says, "Excellence can be achieved when long-term relationships evolve with clients through their ages and stages."
Mary originally came to Tucson to attend the University of Arizona from Michigan in the late 1970s. She quickly fell in love with Tucson's mountain views and abundant sunshine. Taking advantage of Arizona's natural beauty, she hiked the Grand Canyon rim-to-rim for her 58th birthday. Always ready for another adventure, she is also a master scuba diver.
