SAILUP

The question we are asked most often is why the name 'SailUp' for a boat. Answer: So many boat names are used by so many different boats and people, we wanted a truly unique name that no one else was using. It is also the goal of every sailor to truly say - We are going to Sail Up and grab that mooring, or anyone can sail down wind, the real fun begins trying to Sail Up into the wind. The name stuck... From a young age, I was always fascinated with boats. All kinds of boats, from rafts to oil tankers, it just seemed natural to be on the water. The first time I learned to sail at a young age, it was the most amazing feeling sailing around by harnessing the wind to take me where ever I wanted to go. Now that I am in my 50th year, I can say that amazing feeling is as strong today as it was decades ago on that first sail.
