Cathy Bartsch

Cathy was born and raised in a small community in Northern Ontario. That small community feeling is what she was looking for when she decided to move to Salmon Arm in 1996. This is where she wanted to raise her family. Cathy is an active member in the soccer community and has continued to play competitively for over 45 years. Being an active member of the Shuswap community is what she loves best. She also provides volunteer services towards the Shuswap Trail Alliance annual fund raiser in helping to raise funds for trail development. Cathy was hired at Salmon Arm Financial the same year she arrived in Salmon Arm as an office administrative assistant. She continues to work in our office as our office manager, group administrative assistant and accounts receivable clerk. Cathy is here to assist you with all your benefit claim questions.

Chris Bartsch

Chris began working with Salmon Arm Financial in 2018 at the age of 30 after selling his previous successful business venture. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Major in Political Science and specialization in History from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. While at school Chris was an active member of the Psi Upsilon Fraternity and had the privilege of serving as the chapter President in his final year. He recently just completed his studies and passed the exam to become a certified Professional Financial Advisor. Chris brings a youthful energy and refreshing perspective to the family business.

Kevin Flynn

Kevin entered into the Employee Benefits industry in 1986, days after graduating from UBC Sauder School of Business with a Bachelor of Commerce and Degree in Marketing. He was born and raised in Campbell River and had a varied work background through his University pre-Insurance years. Kevin's Dad was a small business owner, and he witnessed the day-to-day successes, struggles, triumphs and challenges of running a small town, small business. Kevin moved to the Shuswap in 1996 for the small town lifestyle and started working with Salmon Arm Financial Ltd. He bought into the organization and formed a successful and positive long-term partnership with Steve Hammer. For the most recent 10+ years Kevin has been President of SAF, and recently Kevin and Cathy became the sole owners of SAF and the Benefits operation. SAF is now a true family operation with our son, Chris Bartsch, joining the team in 2017.
