Mr. Van Adzin received his AB degree from Columbia University, MCP degree from Harvard University, and JD degree from Boston University Law School. He has broad experience as the Chief Legal Officer and SVP/VP of public and private entities, including Analogic Corporation, Mercury Systems, Inc., Abex Corporation, ManagedComp, Inc., and the Gordon Trust, and has led Legal, Regulatory, HR, and Real Estate departments at those organizations. Mr. Van Adzin is also currently a member of the Boards of Directors of Photo Diagnostic Systems, Inc. (Danvers, MA) and XLV Diagnostics Inc. (Toronto, ON), and the Executive Committee of the Massachusetts General Hospital's Gordon Center. Previously,
Mr. Vira has over 15 years of marketing experience in the biotechnology field. As a senior product manager at MJ Research, Inc., he oversaw the highly successful line of MJ thermal cyclers, and he has led the development and introduction of several products for PCR and DNA sequencing applications. Prior to MJ, Mr. Vira was a researcher in the area of bioremediation - the art of treating environmental contamination with microbes. Mr. Vira holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Connecticut, Storrs.

He is the founder and former CEO and Chairman of Analogic Corporation (Nasdaq: ALOG), and the former CEO and Chairman of NeuroLogica Corp. (Danvers, MA). In addition to his entrepreneurial successes in instrumentation, Mr. Gordon has a passion for engineering and the training of engineers. He holds many patents covering high-tech instrumentation. Dr. Abrams has broad knowledge in molecular biology and protein science. He has been a Research Director or Principal Scientist at a number of firms, including First Light Biosciences, Mosaic Technologies and Praecis Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Abrams focus has been the discovery and development of novel technologies, and these efforts have resulted in the products in the areas of microarrays, immunoassays, and drug discovery. At Mosaic, Dr. Abrams was the lead developer of bridge amplification, the basis of Illumina sequencing technology. Dr. Abrams holds a Ph.D from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Mr. Magnant is a founder of Sage Science, and served as CEO until 2014. Prior to Sage Science, Mr. Magnant served as Vice President of MJ Research, a leading manufacturer of thermal cycling instrumentation for DNA research. At MJ he also served as interim CEO of their Genesys Technologies division, a manufacturer of DNA sequencing instrumentation. He was also the founding Chairman and President of Owl Scientific a leading brand of electrophoresis apparatus now owned by Thermo Fisher. Magnant was a co-founding CEO and Chairman of ThermoCeramiX a contract development and manufacturing firm focused on disruptive new electric heating technology currently being deployed in automotive, appliance and other large industries. He is also a co-founder of ActivBiotics a heavily venture-backed pharmaceutical development company. Magnant holds life science degrees from UMASS - Dartmouth and Montana State University.

Dr. Finney received his BA degree from Harvard College and his PhD from MIT. He was the founding CSO of MJ Research, which became one of the largest manufacturers of DNA amplification instruments in the world. He is also a co-founder of MJ Bioworks, which along with MJ Research was sold to Bio-Rad (AMEX) in 2004. He is a seed investor and Director of Wavemark, Orion Genomics and Sage Science. Dr. Finney is also the author of numerous publications and patents.
Mr. Carroll has spent 30 years in the life science industry, where he has demonstrated expertise in building and managing sales operations and developing new markets. He was the 15th employee at Applied Biosystems, where he set up the North American and Asia-Pacific sales organizations before assuming a global role as senior vice president of worldwide sales. More recently, he spent nearly a decade at Bio-Rad managing the North American sales operation. Patrick has also been involved in a number of life science startup companies.
Ms. Hoda has enjoyed 20 years of experience in the life science industry. She began her career as a bench scientist, identifying causative mutations for specific inborn metabolic disorders at Mass General Hospital, followed by sample-prep product development at US Genomics, and then early-stage drug discovery studies at Ribonovix. Sadaf and has been integral to the development for of the all of the Sage Science products. As Sage grew, Sadaf built and led the applications support team, performed research, oversaw product launches, prior to becoming the Vice President of Operations for the company.
Dr. Boles's expertise is in the development of molecular research instruments, consumables and reagents. Dr. Boles served in VP R&D of Matrix Technologies and CSO of Mosaic Technologies prior to joining Sage Science. He is an inventor of numerous patents, mostly chemistry related, in the bioscience tools area. Prior to his career in industry, he served as an Asst. Professor at Brandeis University and as a Post Doctoral Fellow at UC Berkeley. Dr. Boles received his PhD from Princeton University.
Mr. Barbera is a founder and current CEO of Sage Science. Previoulsy, Mr. Barbera was the founding CEO of Pronto Development Corporation, Inc. At Pronto, he developed numerous instruments and consumer appliances. He developed a high throughput cellular imaging system for a world-renowned research company in 2004. He has extensive electronics product development experience, from directly designing circuit boards and writing code to managing projects through production. His experience covers instrumentation, process instruments and machinery, semiconductor test equipment, high end audio equipment and optoelectronic medical devices. Mr. Barbera is an accomplished yachtsman and in 2005 developed a new sail sensor array which he installed on the USA's America's cup yacht in Spain. Mr. Barbera holds a Bachelors Degree in electrical engineering from Northeastern University.
