SARTON

Sarton is a new phonographic studio in the Polish market, specialising in recording classical music and jazz. It has been established by Katarzyna Rakowiecka-Rojsza and Alina Ratkowska, lecturers at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, and graduates of the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw Musik-Akademie Basel, and the Gdańsk University of Technology... Since the first days of our fascination with early music we have asked ourselves many fundamental questions crucial to its interpretation. The answers we have usually come up with are 'maybe' or' probably'. That is why, like the Pre-Raphaelites, we go back to the music of the Renaissance and find there everything that has fascinated us for years. The Sabionetta ensemble takes the four-voice musical material as the starting point for its artistic productions. It arranges its music to rich sets of instruments.
