Alan Copland

Prior to joining Satori Labs, Alan was Director of Marketing and Planning at Halifax Regional Medical Center in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. He brings a broad range of communications and marketing experience to the Company. After working with Jim Henson and the Muppets, he moved to Germany in 1972, where he produced children's television programming for many countries. While in Germany, he consulted to Siemens AG in Munich, where he wrote a series of textbooks on American business subjects, including marketing. Moving back to the States, in 1977 he became the editor and publisher of a chain of weekly newspapers in Western Massachusetts. Later, he joined WAMC, one of the largest public radio stations in the country, as Arts Editor. In 1990, Alan ran a newspaper at the State University of New York at Albany. After moving to North Carolina in 1995, he became an early publisher of CD-ROMs. Alan entered healthcare with a small consulting firm as its marketing specialist. He joined Halifax Regional in mid-1998 where he was responsible for marketing, community relations, development, government relations, business development, physician recruiting and strategic planning. He has presented to the annual meetings of both the American Hospital Association's Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development and the Alliance for Healthcare Marketing, and is a past president of the Virginia Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations. Alan holds a BS and MBA from Columbia University in New York City.

Bill Jordan

Bill Jordan has over 20 years experience in business development, marketing, and business strategy development at a variety of public and private software companies. His career includes senior level positions at Borland Software, Ashton-Tate, InterTrust Corporation, and iUniverse. Bill received a BBA from Southern Methodist University and completed the Executive Management Program at the Anderson School of Business at UCLA.

Eric Ornas - COO

Eric Ornas has worked in the high technology arena for twenty years. Most recently he was Vice-President of Strategic and Business Development at Starfish Software, a developer of connectivity software for the wireless market. Prior to that he was founder and CEO of WebAnswers, a pioneering ASP providing web-based automated customer service, search and knowledge management services to Fortune 1000 companies like HP, Intel and FujiFilm. In his previous position he was head of world-wide customer support for Borland International. He has a broad perspective having served in both strategic and operational roles in start-up and established companies serving diverse markets including wireless, Internet technologies, client server and microcomputer software/hardware.

Gary Snyder

Gary Snyder has held leadership roles in a diverse set of ventures for over twenty years. Gary brings extensive operations and software program management experience in fields as diverse as consumer and enterprise productivity, GPRS connectivity solutions, marine research, and international motor sports. Gary comes to Satori Labs from Starfish Software, AppZone Software and Kimokeo Inc. A stellar relationship manager, Gary has worked closely with IBM, Motorola, Siemens, Ericsson, Novatel, Sierra Wireless and T-Mobile to define new product functionality, and enhance software-to-device compatibility.

Kristen Farrell - Founder, Treasurer

Kristen comes to Satori Labs from German software giant SAP, where she was the manager of a Development Support Engineer group providing Level 3 customer support for Basis/NetWeaver, SAP's business application operating system. Prior to that she worked for Electronic Data Systems as a consultant to engine manufacturer Detroit Diesel, where she was responsible for database performance optimization, teaching customer classes on database query tools, and supporting customers and applications in the areas of engineering, manufacturing, order entry, shipping, materials, and finance. Kristen has lived in several European countries and speaks English, German, French, and Russian. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan.

Phil Rose

Management responsibilities included leading the TrueSync Plus team to deliver TrueSync 2.0 and 3.0. As Director of Server Development, Phil and his team worked closely with companies such as IBM, Nokia, H3G, and PeopleSoft to deliver customized synchronization solutions.

Roy Feague - CEO, Founder

Roy Feague brings seventeen years of high-level software development and management experience to Satori Labs. After graduating with honors from the University of Michigan, Roy proved himself quickly as an innovator and leader with pioneering work in GUI development tools and telepresence-based remote support. Roy's work attracted the attention of industry luminary Philippe Kahn, and in 1996 Roy joined Kahn's newest startup, Starfish. For the next seven years, Roy led development teams on an unbroken string of successful commercial projects such as Starfish Internet Utilities, Sidekick, TrueSync, and the groundbreaking REX and REX PRO PDAs. His pioneering work in the areas of mobile computing and synchronization led to several key Starfish patents and was licensed to numerous Fortune 500 companies including Nokia, IBM, Excite!, AOL, Yahoo, HP, and Motorola. Roy founded Satori Labs in 2002 to realize his vision for an entirely new class of pen-based information management tools, bringing with him a proven team of former Starfish colleagues. He is currently an inventor on four patents, and two patents pending.
