April Durant

With a Master's degree in accountancy from Bentley College and over 30 years of experience working with and implementing construction software, April has a great handle on the technology at indus. As a member of the Northeast Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association, April keeps current with financial trends in the construction industry. When it comes to construction, her family ties run deep - as a young girl she remembers driving around with her dad as he checked out potential projects on the weekends. Although April's focus is on IT and financial matters, she is also a big believer in people. To her, the best part about working at indus is working in an environment where everyone has a voice.

Art received his Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Connecticut. This technical background has helped Art understand how to best help pavement managers design and implement pavement management plans that are both technically and financially sound. Art spent over ten years as a Public Works Director in CT & MA. Dan brings over two decades of experience in helping communities improve road networks and maximize budgets up and down the East Coast. With both a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Vermont and a Master's degree in business administration from Curry College, he understands how to help agencies design infrastructure management plans that are both technically and financially sound. Spending ten years as the Commissioner of Public Works and Superintendent of Highways for the Town of Wallkill, NY helped Dan recognize the critical importance of taking a network optimization approach to pavement management and how practicing pavement preservation leads to safer, better and more cost-effective roads. After all that experience, he knows that start-to-finish professionalism makes a difference in not just starting new client relationships, but maintaining them.

Dave has spent his whole life in the garage ... fixing, building and fabricating. After four years at an automotive vocational high school and four years as a diesel mechanic in the Navy, he's spent the past 3+ decades researching, designing and building custom pavement and bridge preservation equipment for indus. Because indus has always valued his ability to think outside of the box, he's been able to develop and maintain a distinct fleet of custom-designed trucks that perform (and look) better than most standard models. Dave credits putting people first as the reason that he and his industry-renowned fleet can consistently deliver superior results.

For Biffy, this is literally a family business. Indus was started by her grandfather and his sons, and while gathering five decades of experience, she's grown into a leadership role of her own. With a graduate degree in accounting from Bentley University and as a member of the Construction Financial Management Association, she makes sure that every project has the right budget and holds to it. Even though she's in charge of the finances, Biffy knows that people come first - whether clients or co-workers. She's spent a good part of her life leading and supporting teams who maintain the region's roads and bridges, for the benefit of the people who drive them every day.

Joel Faria has joined the indus team as our newest Regional Manager servicing Vermont, central and western Massachusetts, and eastern Connecticut. Joel comes to us from the Town of Granby, CT where as Deputy Director he was instrumental in upgrading the community's pavement management program by placing a heavier emphasis on keeping good roads in good condition with surface treatments and other pavement preservation tools. Prior to Granby, Joel served as Foreman for the Westfield MA DPW where he was also responsible for adding new treatments to and modernizing the City's pavement management program.

With over 18 years in the pavement preservation and paving industry, Matt Teto joins the indus team as the company's first Quality Control Manager. Teto is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) and a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). Since graduating from WPI, his career has been devoted to improving area roadways, performing a wide variety of research, design, testing and quality control oversight activities. He has served on the board of directors of the NorthEast Transportation Training and Certification Program (NETTCP) since 2015 and is a member of the NETTCP Quality Assurance Technologist Committee. Teto's primary responsibility is working with indus' field supervisors, suppliers and other project stakeholders to deliver the highest quality workmanship possible. Teto exemplifies indus' value of providing superior work and sets the expectation that we do our best on every job, for every customer, every single day. What he loves most about indus is the daily opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of everyone who drives our community's roads.

After completing a semester co-op program with indus, Paul knew that he would like to continue his career with indus once he graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology with a Bachelor's degree in construction management. After earning his diploma, he came back with new experiences that he applied to his roles as general laborer, foreman and his current position of superintendent. When some people see road construction, they see dirty environments and loud noises. But after years of making roads and bridges safer and more comfortable, Paul thinks nothing is more satisfying than when someone appreciates a job well done. When he's managing a project, Paul puts people first. He knows this attitude is what makes indus stand out.

After joining indus fresh out of high school, he took on many different roles and responsibilities while working his way up to the level of Vice President. For his success, he credits the beliefs that hard work and the desire to do the best job possible are more important than anything. On a day-to-day basis, Rich is responsible for making sure doing well on one job leads to another; this requires working closely with both clients and indus employees to ensure everyone's expectations have been met. He uses his experiences at "indus university" to help educate the indus team and bring continued success to each job.

Robert Zalinger Territory: Central and Western Connecticut Year started at indus: 2012 In the industry since: 1987 Rob knows that pavement preservation isn't just important for the road ahead, but every road ahead. That's because his nearly two decades of experience has taught him that protecting one road helps protect the entire roadway network - and that saves taxpayer money. Having started his roadway career in the blacktop paving business in 1987, he's seen firsthand how today's mixes are not lasting as long as they used to and require more frequent maintenance. But for all his focus on roads, that's not always what comes first. Rob puts most of his effort into making client relationships the strongest they can be.
