has over 30 years of professional experience in the architectural and building industry. Before starting Scheid Architectural, Doug gained experience working for a diverse architectural firm in Buffalo, New York where he quickly earned the title of Project Manager. In 1988, Doug worked as a facilities engineer for a manufacturing company with locations throughout North America.
In the fall of 1989, Doug started his architectural practice, which continues to operate as Scheid Architectural, having completed over 1,200 projects ranging in value up to $15,000,000. Expanding market segments include Industrial, Recreational, Medical, Banking, Office, Educational, and Community.
Doug is a National Council of Architectural Registrations Board Certificate Holder, (NCARB), which permits reciprocal registration in most locations. He is currently licensed to practice and holds registrations in 35 states.
Jim first joined the staff at Scheid Architectural in 1997. After a brief sabbatical, he returned to Scheid Architectural as Project Manager with valuable experience in real estate data management and BOMA project management. With Jim as project manager, several projects have been completed on time and, perhaps more importantly, on budget.
Jim is highly involved in the day-to-day activities of the firm's Buffalo office. He also plays a major role in the management of project production as well as the firm's marketing endeavors. Jim became a Principal with Scheid Architectural, PLLC in 2010 and has experience on a broad range of projects ranging from beverage distribution centers and pharmaceutical suites to corporate offices and ice arenas.
