Art Schwarzwaelder was born in Pittsburgh in 1953. A first-generation American, Art was raised in a family that emphasized the importance of education and hard work. He grew up in the South Hills of Pittsburgh (Scott Township), and held a variety of jobs throughout his years as a high school student.
Art graduated as Valedictorian of the Class of 1971 from Chartiers Valley High School. He was then accepted to Dartmouth College, where he was awarded a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Summa Cum Laude, and invited to join the academic honorary society, Phi Beta Kappa. Art pursued his legal education at the University of Virginia School of Law, where he earned a Juris Doctorate in 1978. He was admitted to the Bar of Pennsylvania that same year.

Caroline continued her education at the George Washington University Law School, where she earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) in 1982. That same year, she was admitted to the Bar of Pennsylvania. She practiced personal injury law at a Downtown Pittsburgh Law Firm. Caroline joined her Husband, Art, when he founded Schwarzwaelder Law Offices.
Her primary areas of practice and interest are medical malpractice, personal injury, contract disputes, and small business litigation.
Legal Assistant Ryan Johnson is a native of Pittsburgh. He grew up in the South Hills and graduated from Baldwin High School. After High School, he attended Washington and Jefferson College, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in History and Political Science. He attended Duquesne University Law School for one year before becoming the Legal Assistant at Schwarzwaelder Law Offices, P.C.
