With an electrical, home renovations, and building trades background, he holds a Massachusetts Home Inspector License (157), Home Inspector Certification (10763) from ASHI and ASHI New England, certified Radon Measurement Service Provider (AARST 1465), Massachusetts Certified Pool Operator's License, Massachusetts Construction Supervisor's License, and Wood Destroying Insects (WDI) certification from NEPMA. Nathan Coughlin, owner of Coughlin Radon Testing Services of RI, has been a licensed radon technician (NEHA [National Environmental Health Association] license # 103655RT) with Radalink since 2003. Unlike Massachusetts, Rhode Island requires licensing to test for radon. Nathan has his RI State license RMC #081, and RMB #057. When Sherman Home Inspections, LLC. does home inspections and commercial inspections in Rhode Island, Nathan does the radon testing for our clients using the same active continuous radon monitor method of testing by Radalink that our company uses in Massachusetts. He is also owner of RMS (Radon Mitigation Services) and installs Radon Mitigation Systems in RI and nearby MA towns, offering post mitigation testing with an independent, third party laboratory.
