Austin Byrne

Austin joined Schroeder Insurance in February of 2021 where he obtained his Property and Causality License that same year. Prior to joining the agency, Austin graduated from the University of Missouri - Columbia and was in a sales role since graduating. Although his career in insurance is only beginning, he is looking forward to the opportunity to assist his clients in commercial and personal lines and will work tirelessly for his customers to make sure their insurance interests are protected and their expectations are met. Austin lives in Webster Groves with his wife, Hannah. He is currently obtaining his Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri - St. Louis and in his spare time enjoys exploring his hometown of St. Louis with his wife, cheering on the STL Blues and slowly improving his golf game.

Chelsea Leonhardt

Chelsea started with Schroeder Insurance in July 2023 as the receptionist. In August she obtained her Property & Casualty license to further her career. Chelsea and her husband, Timothy, have resided in Franklin County all their lives and have 2 daughters, Sharlotte and Skylar. In her spare time, Chelsea enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, bird watching and new adventures.

Cheryl Micke

Cheryl started in the insurance industry in 1985, she has worked on both the company and agency sides of the business. She joined Schroeder Insurance in May 2012 and works with commercial customers. She maintains membership in the Society of Certified Insurance Services Representatives. Cheryl lives in Washington with her husband, Mark and enjoys spending time with family and friends and listening to music.

Diann Smith

Diann started in the insurance industry in 1986 where she worked for a captive agency for over 24 years before going to work for a broker and finally joining the Dan Yoest Insurance Agency in 2012. Now a member of the Schroeder Insurance agency, Diann is a producer in the Personal Lines Department. Married to her high school sweetheart Ron, she has 3 grown children, Krista (Alex), Ashley (Ben) and Joshua (Sarah) along with 3 grandchildren Zoey, Linken and Jordan. In her spare time, Diann enjoys outdoor activities and attending any St. Louis sports team games.

Jackie Gilbert

After a 10-year career with Six Flags St. Louis, Jackie began her insurance career in 1994 with Safeco Insurance as a Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster and then as a Personal Lines Service Representative in their Customer Service Unit until that unit was closed in December 2000. She moved on to the independent agency realm and has worked with various agencies in the Saint Louis County area until deciding to move west to Franklin County, joining Schroeder Insurance in August 2020. Jackie specializes in servicing personal lines accounts and maintains membership in the Society of Certified Insurance Service Representatives and the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors.

Jeff Schroeder

Jeff joined Schroeder Insurance in 2021 assuming account management and marketing responsibilities in the Employee Benefits area. He began working in the insurance industry in 1984 after graduating from Missouri State University. He spent many years as a multi-line insurance claims adjuster. He then worked as a risk manager with a multinational Fortune 100 corporation, followed by time with a large insurance brokerage firm providing insurance and risk management services to large national accounts. He holds the designations of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Claims (AIC) along with college degrees in General Business and Insurance. In his free time, Jeff enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife Katherine and their blended family of six children.

Jerry Carlyle

I have lived and worked in this area since 1977. I started in the insurance industry in 1984 as a life insurance specialist. While I still help my clients in all lines of insurance, my focus now is in personal lines: auto, home, boat, in individual and group health; and I continue to specialize in life insurance, annuities, long term care and conservative retirement planning. Being part of Schroeder Insurance has been a great move for me, my family and my clients. Being with one of the largest agencies in Franklin County, I am able to provide my customers with a wide array of competitive products. We are able to save our customers money and place them with some of the top-rated companies in the industry.

Karin Nuernberger

Karin joined the agency in 1998 where she obtained her Property and Casualty license that same year. She specializes in servicing personal lines accounts for the agency, and maintains membership in the Society of Certified Insurance Service Representatives. Karin lives in Union with her husband, Mark and has three grown children Chelsea, Laurel, and Matt. She enjoys spending time with her family, walking, yoga, and gardening.

Katie Peterson

Katie started with Schroeder Insurance in January 2020 as the Receptionist. In July 2020 she obtained her Property & Casualty license and is now working in the Commercial Lines Department. She maintains membership in the Society of Certified Insurance Services Representatives. In her spare time, Katie enjoys camping, fishing, hiking, and spending time with family and friends..

Kim DeWitt

Kim joined Schroeder Insurance in 2022. She obtained her license in Property & Casualty and Health & Life in 2015. Kim is a lifetime resident of Union where she raised three children, Kurtis, John and Baylieigh. She is also proud to have a beautiful grandson, Austin. In her free time, Kim enjoys family time and giving back to her community.

Lynette Arens

Lynette joined Schroeder Insurance as office administrator in February of 2000. Lynette lives near Union with her husband, Francis, and has three grown children, Katie, Kurtis, and Kelli. She enjoys reading, walking, gardening, and spending time with her family.

Michelle Holt

Michelle joined Schroeder Insurance in September 2016. She has been a licensed insurance agent in both Property and Casualty and Life and Health since 1999, primarily marketing and servicing personal lines accounts. Michelle and her husband Mark have resided in Washington most of their adult life and have two sons, Adam and Joshua Holt. They now enjoy spending time with their grandchildren, Morgan and twins Landon and Emalee.

Paul Schroeder

Paul Schroeder began his career in 1986 as a producer and became a principal of the agency in 1991. Paul specializes in commercial lines insurance for small to medium size business owners. Paul maintains membership in the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.

Spencer Nothum

Spencer joined Schroeder Insurance in 2018. He has been licensed in both Property & Casualty and Life & Health since 2015. Spencer assists clients in commercial lines, personal lines, life and group benefits. Spencer & his wife Brittany live in Washington with their 4 children; Henry, Millie, Wynn & Lucy. Spencer is active in the community serving in the Rotary Club of Washington as well as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In his spare time, he enjoys basketball, golf and spending time with family and friends.

Ted Schroeder

Ted joined the agency in 1992 after graduating from Southwest Missouri State University (now known as Missouri State University). Ted helps clients and prospects identify their insurance exposures and tailors insurance programs to fit their special needs. He assists clients in commercial lines, personal lines, life, health and disability. Ted maintains membership in the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC). He currently serves on the board of directors for Mercy Hospital Foundation. He served on the board of directors for the Missouri Association of Insurance Agents (MAIA) from 2006 -2012. He served as president of the Union Rotary Club from 2012-2013 and president of the Union Chamber of Commerce in 2008. Ted is active in Immaculate Conception Parish and is a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1576 in Union. When he is not working, he is spending time with his 3 children Laura, Will and Corinne and his wife, Kelly.
