Amanda Sayn is a Manager for ShindelRock, where she assists with special projects, prepares tax returns, assists in tax planning, and helps clients with accounting and QuickBooks issues. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accountancy from Western Michigan University and Master of Science in Forensic Accounting from New England College. She is a CPA and a CFF and is a member of both the MICPA and AICPA.

Carla is a staff accountant who joined ShindelRock in 2014. She handles all types of clients; her responsibilities include tax planning and preparation for both individuals and business entities, accounting services and financial statement preparation.
Carla has a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She has over 10 years of experience in hospitality working in various management positions. She has worked for such hotels as The Mirage Casino & Hotel and several Marriott and Crowne Plaza Hotels. In 2006, Carla completed her Masters of Science in Accountancy from the University of Phoenix. She changed careers and now has over nine years of experience working with small to mid-sized businesses in various industries. She is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA).

Dana is a Manager at ShindelRock, responsible for helping clients with various accounting and tax needs, including QuickBooks orientation, completing bank reconciliations, expense classifications, responding to tax notices, preparing year-end tax projections and completing tax returns. Dana works closely with clients to simplify the accounting and tax process throughout the year.

Gary Kushner is a director at ShindelRock, where he specializes in working with labor unions as well as management consulting, tax planning, and corporate accounting. Gary was a partner at Kushner, Kippelman & Taub, where he managed a team of accountants and staff for 40 years until the merger of the organization with ShindelRock in 2021.
Gary holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Wayne State University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Karla is a manager who joined ShindelRock in 2009. She handles all types of clients with a concentration on the medical profession and high net worth individuals. Her responsibilities include tax planning and preparation, accounting, financial statement preparation and preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Karla graduated from Oakland University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountant. Karla is also a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor for QuickBooks Online.
She is a member of the Detroit Young Professionals organization and volunteers with the Accounting Aid Society, an IRS-sponsored program that provides free income tax return preparation to low income families. In addition, she has volunteered for the "JA in a Day" program in which the MACPA partners with Junior Achievement USA to teach financial literacy skills to Kindergarten through 12th grade students.

Maria specializes in tax planning and compliance for individuals, estates, trusts and mid-market businesses. Adept at interpreting tax legislation and its myriad applications, Maria works with clients to maximize their tax advantage and establish strategies for gifting and estate planning. She is a trusted strategic advisor to clients ranging from business owners in service-based industries and professional practices to high net worth individuals.
She also leads the firm's litigation support team, assessing value and damages for clients involved in matters such as business disputes, marital dissolution, and business acquisitions. She assists legal teams with report preparation and analysis, tracing of assets, asset valuation, investigation of financial statements, and expert testimony in court if necessary.
Maria is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, and has earned accreditations as an MAFF (Master Analyst in Financial Forensics) and a Certified Valuation Analyst. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Lawrence Technological University and Masters of Science in Taxation with a concentration in Estate Planning from Walsh College. Maria has been named to the "Accounting Today" Managing Partner Elite list and was the organization's Accountant of the Month. She is a rock climbing enthusiast who stays in shape on the ground with regular Cross Fit workouts.

Marianne Lilly is the lead partner for ShindelRock's audit and accounting services. She is responsible for managing the Firm's assurance engagements, including financial statement and compliance audit services. She serves audit clients in the areas of employee benefit plans, nonpublic for-profit companies, not-for-profit organizations and franchisor financial statements. She adds value by advising clients on strategic control implementation and process improvement.
Marianne has over 30 years of experience in public accounting and industry, including ten years with a Big 4 firm. She is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner. She is a member of the AICPA, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, where she serves on the Board of Directors and Audit Committee. She also serves on the Oakland County Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors.
Marianne is a graduate of Michigan State University.
Mark is a partner at ShindelRock, where he consults with clients on financial and accounting-based projects. Mark specializes in providing medical practice management, tax and consulting services to clients in the healthcare, professional service, wholesale, and not-for-profit sectors, among others. He also leads staff and client service development at the firm.
Mark is accredited by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. He began his accounting career after receiving his bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University.

Paul is the director responsible for client administration and business development. He specializes in providing accounting, tax and advisory services to clients in the retail/wholesale, real estate, and professional services industries. Paul is a skillful adviser to entrepreneurs who wish to start a new business, assisting with strategic planning, fiscal oversight and finance sourcing. He also excels in helping clients uncover theft and embezzlement within their organizations, an especially critical issue for small business owners.
Paul is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Chartered Global Management Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. In addition, he has served as treasurer of the Oakland Executive Association, a network of senior executives whose companies do business in Oakland County. A 40-year member of the public accounting profession and former partner at a large regional accounting firm, Paul is a graduate of Wayne State University.

Rhonda is a senior accountant at ShindelRock, where she has been since 2003. Rhonda provides individuals and business clients in various sectors with tax planning and preparation, including local, state, and international taxes, NEXUS analysis, accounting, financial statement preparation and preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Rhonda is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants and a graduate of Walsh College. She enjoys tackling home projects, cheering the Detroit Lions and playing Euchre with friends.

Sarah Giordano joined ShindelRock in 2019 as a staff accountant. She works on tax returns, financial statements, and various other accounting projects in the firm.
Sarah has been in the public accounting industry since 2014. She previously worked for a small CPA firm handling individual tax returns, small business tax returns and financial statements. Sarah graduated from Wayne State University in 2008 with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting. She completed her Master of Science in Accounting in 2017 at Wayne State University. Sarah is a member of the AICPA and the MICPA.
Steve is the partner responsible for client administration and firm development. He specializes in matters concerning medical practice consulting, information technology and cryptocurrency taxation, franchising, and other service-based industries. Clients value his familiarity with fiscal and managerial best practices, restructuring their internal processes to create new centers of profit and growth. Steve is also a trusted member of the ShindelRock litigation support team, providing technical, expert analysis of financial, accounting and tax aspects of financial forensic and damages matters, consulting with clients and their legal team, and giving expert witness testimony.
He is a Master Analyst in Financial Forensics, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, and the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts. He serves on the School Board for the Trillium Academy and was a Fellow with the Detroit Regional Chamber's Leadership Detroit, a 10-month transformational leadership program designed to challenge emerging and existing leaders from Southeast Michigan to bring about positive change.
Steve is an Alma College graduate and enjoys playing the guitar, spending time in Northern Michigan and running the occasional marathon.
