Andrew's portfolio consists of affordable housing, senior-living campuses, housing rehabilitation, and several large-scale mixed-use projects, including the new Bryant Street in Northeast DC. He is a strong team player and uses his varied design experience managing design and construction professionals, project consultants, and code officials to meet client goals while completing creative and highly successful projects. Andrew is involved in many facets of the project, from urban planning and schematic design to crafting construction documents.

Christopher Huffer

Chris Huffer manages the complexity of multifaceted mixed-use projects smoothly and generates workable and creative design solutions. With extensive hands on involvement in a wide variety of projects from ecclesial to residential buildings, Chris brings a vast amount of energy, knowledge, and expertise to the firm. During his time with SK+I, he has developed a depth of knowledge and has become instrumental in design development and coordination of high and mid-rise, multi-family, mixed-use residential projects. Chris is involved in many facets of the project, from schematic design to the crafting of construction documents. He is a strong team player and collaborates and coordinates with project consultants and code officials. Chris enjoys the challenges of urban, mixed-use development and looks for every opportunity to impact and improve each project. Outside of the office, he is involved in the community and volunteers his time and expertise with AIA DC's Architecture in the Schools Program, DCBIA's Community Improvement Day, and Habitat for Humanity.

Eda Kaya

Eda Kaya joined SK+I in 2002 and has more than 20 years of experience in architectural design. She has a detailed understanding of the process for large-scale, mixed-use residential design from conception through to construction administration. Her pragmatic and focused approach to design has led to the completion of numerous mixed-use, multi-family residential and historic renovation projects. In her role, Eda focuses on creating, modifying, and continuously updating the working drawings which dictate how the project is finally constructed. This lengthy process involves much coordination between disciplines, a sharp eye for detail, and limitless patience-all characteristics that Eda possesses in abundance. She possesses a keen attention to detail, project schedule, and budgetary concerns. She is also adept at navigating the numerous and complex requirements of building codes and green building design and serves as an integral part of any team; committed to delivering exceptional design solutions that are responsive to each clients' unique aspirations and goals.

He has been a key designer in the architectural visioning of numerous urban revitalizations such as Port Convington and Harbor East in Baltimore, Bryant Street in Washington, DC, Downtown South in Raleigh, NC and River North in Nashville, TN. Yavuz is passionate about good design and inspiring architecture, always keeping an eye open to the future of technology and intuitive design.
