ShipConstructor Software Inc (SSI, previously named ARL) developed ShipConstructor, an easy-to-use 3D Product-Modelling software for the design and fabrication of complete ships and offshore structures. In 2002, ARL ASIA has proven that AutoCAD users with only two weeks training can readily make use of ShipConstructor to build $200M oil rigs. Running on Microsoft Windows, ShipConstructor will handle all aspect of 2D/3D design to fabrication drawings including hull-fairing, lofting, structure, piping, penetrations, HVAC, outfitting, fully automatic plate nesting and CNC-coding; all integrated with an MS-SQL database for easy project management and communication with other shipyard databases
