SleepSafe® Beds originally manufactured wood products and custom furniture under our previous company name - English Ave Industries. We began the development of the SleepSafe® Bed, durable medical equipment (DME), for those with Special Needs in September of 2000 at the request of the New York State Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (OMRDD). They required a bed that would prevent falls and entrapment for individuals in their group homes.
