Adam Sauri

Mr. Sauri joined SOL Capital Management in June 2012. He acts as the portfolio manager for some SOL clients, analyzes existing holdings, and researches new investment opportunities. Mr. Sauri also supervises all trading activity at SOL. Mr. Sauri was previously a Client Relations Administrator at SOL for two years. In this role, he processed daily inquiries from domestic and international clients, and managed account establishments at financial institutions in Europe and North America. Prior to joining SOL, Mr. Sauri completed three consecutive internships on the Mexico Desk at the U.S. Department of State. His duties focused on political and economic relations, as well as law enforcement cooperation between the United States and Mexico. Mr. Sauri holds an M.S. in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University and a B.A. in Economics and Latin American & Caribbean Studies from Emory University. He is also a CFA Charterholder and a Registered Investment Adviser Representative.

Angélica Camp

Ms. Camp joined SOL Capital Management Company in April 2002. Ms. Camp is responsible for the daily interaction with domestic and international clients, facilitating requests, performing due diligence and striving to achieve excellence in client relationships. Prior to joining SOL, Ms. Camp worked for HSM, the leading management information company in Latin America, as Marketing and Advertising Manager. During her tenure she helped the company become the market leader during its first year of operations in Argentina. Ms. Camp also has worked for McCann-Erickson and Ogilvy & Mather, where she began her career in advertising through an internship organized by Ogilvy & Mather and Fundación de Altos Estudios en Ciencias Comerciales. Ms. Camp is a graduate of Fundación de Altos Estudios en Ciencias Comerciales de Buenos Aires (Argentina) and also holds an Advertising Designer degree from the Asociación Biblioteca de Mujeres de Buenos Aires. Ms. Camp earned a Certificate in Digital Media from Georgetown University. Ms. Camp is a Registered Investment Adviser Representative.

Barbara Karwoski - CFO

Ms. Karwoski joined SOL Capital Management Company in October 2013. As Chief Financial Officer, she leads the firm's accounting, administrative and human resource functions. Prior to joining SOL Capital Management, Ms. Karwoski was a professional consultant working for a variety of companies, including a long-term engagement with the international tax group at Marriott International Inc. Ms. Karwoski also has been involved in several entrepreneurial ventures in recent years. Prior to moving to the Washington, DC metro area, Ms. Karwoski served as the controller for an Atlanta, GA based real estate investment firm. She began her career in public accounting, with an emphasis in auditing. Ms. Karwoski earned a BBA in Accounting from Kennesaw State University in Georgia and is an active CPA.

Brett Somerville

Mr. Somerville joined SOL Capital Management Company in January 2023. He is responsible for researching new investment opportunities and evaluating current holdings across all asset classes. For more than 10 years, Mr. Somerville was a Senior Equity Analyst at Cartica Management, an investment fund focused on emerging markets based in Washington DC. The fund's strategy was concentrated with an emphasis on driving value through active engagement. Areas of focus included investment opportunities in financial services, industrials, real estate, and healthcare sectors globally. He joined the firm in 2011 and co-led the research and diligence process for the investment team. Prior to Cartica, Mr. Somerville was an Investment Banking Associate at RBC Capital Markets in the Global Aerospace, Defense & Government Services Group from 2009 to 2011. While at RBC, he advised clients on M&A, capital markets, restructurings and leveraged buyout transactions. From 2007 to 2009, he worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the Global Industrials Group. Mr. Somerville earned his BS magna cum laude in Business from Cornell University.

Christopher Virgili

Mr. Virgili joined SOL Capital Management in August 2021. He is responsible for account setup and supporting the client services team. Prior to joining SOL, Mr. Virgili was a Loan Officer for Freedom Mortgage, a leading FHA and VA lender. While at Freedom Mortgage, Mr. Virgili was also a part of an operations team that prioritized resolving difficult financial decisions their clients faced regarding their homes during the COVID-19 pandemic. Mr. Virgili holds a BA in Psychology from Rowan University, as well as a minor in Human Resources.

Douglas Ventura

Mr. Ventura joined SOL Capital Management in July 2021. He is responsible for new account setup and supporting the client services team. Prior to joining SOL, Mr. Ventura was an Assistant Manager at Georgetown Cupcake where he implemented and developed procedures to promote smooth logistics across the company's local and nationwide operations. He previously worked for the Geographic Department at the University of Maryland - College Park as a Finance Associate. He managed account records, processed transactions, and analyzed financial data for multiple geospatial information and remote sensing research projects. Mr. Ventura holds a BA in Economics as well as a Minor in Spanish Language, Culture, and Professional Contexts from the University of Maryland - College Park.

Ernest Odinec - Managing Director

Mr. Odinec joined SOL Capital Management Company in June 2010 and heads the New York office with business development responsibilities. Prior to joining SOL, Mr. Odinec was a Vice President at Neuberger Berman working in the alternative investments group where he concentrated on hedge fund evaluation, risk management, due diligence, and portfolio construction. He has helped develop investment strategies for a range of clients including a $50 billion defined benefit plan for a major public company. Prior to Neuberger Berman, Mr. Odinec was an investment analyst at Strategic Investment Group (SIG), an investment management company based in Arlington, VA. SIG specializes in customized global asset allocation outsourcing for institutional investors, high net worth individuals and family groups. At SIG, Mr. Odinec was a member of the hedge fund of funds team; his responsibilities included manager selection, due diligence and risk management. Mr. Odinec earned a BA in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley, received an MSc in Economic History from the London School of Economics, and graduated Beta Gamma Sigma from Columbia Business School, earning an MBA with a concentration in Finance. Mr. Odinec is a Registered Investment Adviser Representative.

Gabriel Hernandez

Mr. Hernandez joined SOL Capital Management in August 2015. He is responsible for new account setup and supporting the client services team. Prior to joining SOL, Mr. Hernandez was a Graduate Assistant at the School of International Service at American University in Washington, DC. In addition to conducting research on a wide range of international economic topics, he taught undergraduate courses. Before that, he was a violist with the El Paso Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Hernandez is currently completing his M.A. in International Relations at American University and holds a BBA in Economics and Finance from the University of Texas at El Paso.

Jeffrey Lewis

Mr. Lewis joined SOL Capital Management in July 2013. In his position as Information Governance Manager, he is responsible for ensuring that Generally Accepted Recordkeeping Principles® are adhered to. Mr. Lewis is also responsible for administrating the company's electronic records management system and software suite to ensure efficiency and best information management practices. Prior to joining SOL, Mr. Lewis worked as a government contractor as a records analyst. He has worked in many different aspects of information management functioning as a content analyst for a private software firm, database manager for a private non-profit and a Recorded Media Intern at the National Baseball Hall of Fame Library and Museum. In October 2013 he was published in eForensics Magazine for an article entitled, "A Primer on Metadata Analysis." Mr. Lewis holds a BS in English Preprofessional from Ball State University where he was a Virginia Ball Center Scholar. He also holds a Master of Library Science degree from Indiana University with a Specialization in Special Collections. Mr. Lewis is a Certified Information Professional (CIP) from the Association of Intelligent Information Management (AIIM) and a Certified Records Manager from the Institute of Certified Records Managers.

Jesús Rivera

Mr. Rivera joined the SOL team in August 2020. He is responsible for new account setup and supporting the client services team. Prior to joining SOL, Mr. Rivera was a community principal for the Cambridge Innovation Center, which operates co-working centers in the United States and Europe. He previously worked for the Walt Disney Company as part of the team that rolled out MyMagic+, a technology suite designed to consolidate functions across lines of business. Mr. Rivera holds an MPA from the O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University with dual concentrations in public policy analysis and public financial management, as well as a BA in political science from Vassar College. He also studied political economy at the University of Buenos Aires.

Karin Schultz

Ms. Schultz joined SOL Capital Management Company in August 2004. She is responsible for researching new investment opportunities and evaluating current holdings across all asset classes. She also acts as the portfolio manager for some SOL clients. Between 1998 and 2002, she was employed at Strategic Investment Group (SIG), an investment management company based in Arlington, VA, specializing in customized global asset allocation outsourcing for institutional investors, high net worth individuals and family groups. At SIG, Ms. Schultz concentrated on International Equity and Private Equity, managed the daily investment needs for a $100-million offshore fund, and calculated and prepared performance reports for a number of SIG's clients. In 2003, while completing her business school studies, she worked for the International Finance Corporation (IFC), part of the World Bank Group. Ms. Schultz holds an MBA from Stanford University, with additional certificates in Global Management and Nonprofit Management. She also holds a BA in Economics from Georgetown University. Ms. Schultz is a Registered Investment Adviser Representative.

Kasia Butkowska

Mrs. Butkowska joint the SOL team in November 2022. She is responsible for new account set up and supporting the client services team. Prior to joining SOL, Mrs. Butkowska worked at Teknosell as a Coach and Program Specialist, training business engineers from around the world. Previously, Ms. Butkowska was an HR Administrator at Elanco Solution Center in The Warsaw Hub, acting as a point of contact for employees in the United States and Latin America. Mrs. Butkowska holds a bachelor´s degree in Labor Relations and Human Resources from the University of Malaga, Spain.

Kyle Whelan

Mr. Whelan joined SOL Capital Management Company in July 2005. As Senior Manager, his areas of responsibility include process development, technology and integration initiatives, and business continuity. He has previously held positions in both the client services and investment groups at SOL, most recently as Client Relations Manager. Prior to joining SOL, Mr. Whelan was an account executive for a well-known marketing firm in the Washington, DC metro area. Mr. Whelan also has served as membership manager for a nonprofit organization, where he gained significant experience in operations management, accounting, and database administration. Mr. Whelan holds both an MBA and an MS in Finance from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. He also holds a BA in Economics with a Certificate of Management in Accounting/Finance from the University of Rochester. Mr. Whelan is a Registered Investment Adviser Representative.

Lawrence Lamonica

Mr. Lamonica joined SOL Capital Management Company in March 2007. He is responsible for managing relationships with Latin American investors, as well as developing business opportunities in the region. Prior to joining SOL, Mr. Lamonica worked in the international division of the Chilean Finance Ministry, advising officials on financial policies concerning Chile and key multilateral organizations. Mr. Lamonica also spent three years at the Office of the Western Hemisphere of the US Treasury Department. As an international economist, he recommended policy actions for Latin American countries and developed US positions on International Financial Institutions' loans (World Bank, IMF and IDB). Additionally, Mr. Lamonica worked as an investment adviser at Larraín Vial S.A., one of the largest financial services firms in Chile. Mr. Lamonica has over fifteen years of experience in business development, finance and relationship management. Mr. Lamonica holds a degree in Economics and Business from University Gabriela Mistral in Santiago, Chile and an MA in International Affairs with a concentration in International Economic Policy from the American University's School of International Service in Washington, DC. During 2010-2015, Mr. Lamonica was a member of the Board of Directors of the Chilean-American Foundation, a non-profit organization providing financial support to social projects in Chile; he was President of the Board from 2013-2015. Mr. Lamonica is a Registered Investment Adviser Representative.

Leigh Ann Aultice

She has also worked in the Human Resources Department of the Lynchburg, VA Hilton Hotel, where she performed a variety of services including hiring, training, developing of job descriptions and maintaining records.

Manfred Klee

Prior to joining SOL, Mr. Klee was a programme officer with the United Nations Development Programme, developing and optimizing standard operating procedures, training active and new staff, and supporting the organization's global operations. Previously, while based in Germany, Mr. Klee worked in customer success and escalation management for cleverbridge, an eCommerce and solutions company, and served in various positions with the Cologne Trade Fair organization. Mr. Klee holds a bachelor's degree in Multilingual Communication in English, German and Spanish from the Cologne University of Applied Sciences, and a master's degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the Philipps University in Marburg, Germany.

Marcus Odinec

Mr. Odinec joined SOL Capital Management Company in March 2013. He handled all aspects of business development and sales and helped transform the company into one of the most respected Costa Rican Destination Specialists in the industry. Mr. Odinec holds an MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. He earned his BS in Recreation, Management, and Tourism from Arizona State University. Melva Shelor

Ms. Shelor joined SOL Capital Management Company in February 2006. Ms. Shelor's main responsibilities include back office support and transfers. Prior to joining SOL, Ms. Shelor built a 15-year career in the newspaper business. She spent six years as a newspaper reporter at the Independent-Messenger in Emporia, VA in the 1990s before moving to the Bedford Bulletin, where she served as that newspaper's sports editor for nine years. Ms. Shelor earned a BA in communications from James Madison University.

Moisés Abascal Carrasco

Mr. Abascal joined SOL Capital Management in September 2018. He is responsible for new account setup and supporting the client services team. Immediately prior to joining SOL, Mr. Abascal was a Branch Supervisor at TD Bank in Washington DC, managing daily branch operations, training new staff, offering bank product/services to existing and new clients, and processing lending products, including mortgages and home equity lines of credit. From 2014-2016, Mr. Abascal worked as a Financial Consultant for OVB Allfinanz S.A., a European financial services provider, in Seville, Spain. In order to provide clients with investment options specifically tailored to their needs, Mr. Abascal assessed various objectives, as well as long- and short-term financial goals, when presenting investment strategies to clients. Previously, Mr. Abascal was the Factory Supervisor in an olive oil extraction company in Badajoz, Spain. He was responsible for supervising quality assurance and assessed international oil market fluctuations' strategies, seeking maximization of profit and efficient olive oil inventory management Mr. Abascal holds a bachelor's degree in Business and an MBA from the University of Seville, Spain.

Monique Friedman

Ms. Friedman joined SOL Capital Management in May 2021. She is responsible for maintaining an efficient working environment and assisting with the firm's accounting, administrative and human resources functions. Prior to joining SOL, Ms. Friedman was a business manager at Ruddy Gregory Attorneys at Law in Washington, DC. She previously worked for John Deere Bank in Indaiatuba, Brazil as part of the construction and forestry credit team. In addition, she worked as an underwriter for Caixa Econômica Federal, one of Brazil's largest banks. Ms. Friedman attended Faculdade de Tecnologia de São Paulo, pursuing an AA Business Management degree. Monique Sinmao

Ms. Sinmao joined SOL Capital Management Company in April 2019. She is responsible for researching new investment opportunities and evaluating current holdings across all asset classes. For more than 10 years, Ms. Sinmao was a Portfolio Manager for active strategies at hedge funds invested across equities and fixed income securities, where she focused on financial sector issuers and other cyclicals. Prior to that, she published equity and fixed income investment research in sell-side roles at JP Morgan and Lehman Brothers. Most recently, Ms. Sinmao advised financial technology new ventures deploying frontier technology for real asset-backed investments, algorithmic portfolio and credit analysis, and online marketplaces. Ms. Sinmao received a B.Sc. in Naval Architecture and in Marine Engineering from Webb Institute. She also holds an M.Sc. in Ocean Engineering (Structural Mechanics) from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from Georgetown University.

Mr. Samuel Sandler - President

Mr. Samuel Sandler is a founding member of SOL Capital Management. He has been a member of SOL's Board of Directors since 1987 and the firm's President since 1999. Mr. Sandler's principal focus is on maintaining relationships with existing clients and developing new client relationships, both in the United States and abroad. He serves as a trusted advisor to affluent individuals and families, drawing on his many years of experience managing complex succession and wealth transfer plans across multiple generations. Prior to co-founding SOL Capital, Mr. Sandler was Chief Executive Officer of Fabriles del Norte S.A. (FANOSA), one of the first manufacturing companies in Mexico to expand exports to the United States. Before leading FANOSA, he was a consultant at Podolsky & Associates, a global management consulting firm. Mr. Sandler earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA in Business Administration from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Mexico. He has been a member of YPO (Young Presidents' Organization) since 2003. Additionally, Mr. Sandler serves on the National Board of Directors and National Campaign Committee of the American Friends of Hebrew University. Lastly, Mr. Sandler is an active participant in numerous family advisory boards. Mr. Sandler is a Registered Investment Adviser Representative.

Nancy Thompson

Ms. Thompson joined SOL Capital Management Company in March 2002. Ms. Thompson currently works on back office operations, including the daily processing of transactions, reconciliation, client requests and reporting. Prior to joining SOL, Ms. Thompson worked for the Commonwealth of Virginia for several years obtaining extensive experience in auditing, accounting and budget. Also, she has worked as a financial consultant performing a variety of services including posting of client investment transactions, preparation of financial statements and software conversion of financial activity. Ms. Thompson holds an MBA from Strayer University and a BS in Business Administration from Mary Washington College in Virginia.

Rahm Dvir

Mr. Dvir joined SOL Capital Management Company in May 2004. Mr. Dvir's responsibilities include researching new investment opportunities and evaluating current holdings across all asset classes, as well as acting as the portfolio manager for some SOL clients. Prior to joining SOL, Mr. Dvir worked for General Electric as an assistant relationship manager. In that capacity, Mr. Dvir managed a portfolio of non-performing accounts receivable and real estate secured healthcare loans through all aspects of loan workout including: liquidation, restructuring, credit analysis and negotiation of loan documents. From 1990 to 1994, Mr. Dvir served as an Intelligence Officer in the Israeli Defense Force responsible for training and operation of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). He continued in this field as a Consultant for Singapore Technologies Holdings until 1996. Mr. Dvir holds a BS in Finance and Economics (Magna Cum Laude) from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. He also holds an MBA from the Carey Business School at the Johns Hopkins University with a concentration in International Business. Rajmiel Odinec - CEO, Chairman

As a member of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) staff from 1966 until 1989, Mr. Odinec served in a variety of executive positions. He began his career as an economist and financial analyst and later became Senior Economist, Chief Economist of the Industrial Project Division, Chief of Division of the Operations Department, and Advisor to the President. Also, by special appointment of the IDB President, Mr. Odinec participated in the restructuring of the IDB Pension Fund in 1981-82 and in its successful management through 1989. In November 1989, Mr. Odinec joined the management of SOL Capital Management Company as CEO, and Chief Investment Officer, and also became the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Odinec, born in Mexico, studied at Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (Mexico), and graduated from UCLA with a BA in Economics. He received his MA in Economics from George Washington University and was elected to the Omicron Delta Epsilon Honor Society in Economics. Mr. Odinec is a Registered Investment Adviser Representative.

Sandra Horne - Chief Compliance Officer, VP

Ms. Horne joined SOL Capital Management Company in 1991 and has been Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer since 2004. Ms. Horne is responsible for SOL's compliance with the applicable federal and state securities laws, as well as the management of the company's Back Office Operations, which includes daily processing of transactions, cashiering, and securities valuation. During her long tenure, Ms. Horne also has had extensive experience in the Client Services and Administrative functions, as well as vendor relationships. With nearly twenty-five years at SOL, Ms. Horne offers a well-rounded, valuable and historical understanding of SOL's clients and their portfolios. Ms. Horne is a 1991 graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, earning a BS degree in Finance.

Sergio Contijoch

Mr. Contijoch joined SOL Capital Management Company in November 2017. He is responsible for managing new and existing relationships for SOL's clients, and for providing the most timely and personalized experience possible. Prior to joining SOL, Mr. Contijoch attended Lehigh University's College of Arts and Sciences, obtaining Bachelor of Art degrees in both International Relations and Earth & Environmental Science. Throughout his undergraduate studies, Mr. Contijoch held internship positions at a variety of organizations including: The Mexican Embassy in Washington, DC, GAVI the Global Alliance in Switzerland, and the Cordier Law Offices, LLC in Rockville, MD.

Surdiv Vijayakumar
