Christian A. Moore

Christian Moore is the Screening Services Consultant for Sovereign Security LLC. Christian joins Sovereign after having served in a number of leadership roles within the screening and investigations industry, including time spent working with a Fortune 500 telecommunications company, a national Consumer Reporting Agency (CRA), and a regional full-service detective agency. In his prior roles, Mr. Moore's duties have included responsibility for the design, implementation and management of employee background & investigative screening services. Mr. Moore is currently a licensed private detective in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania & the State of Colorado. Mr. Moore has more than 20 years of investigative and business experience and holds a Bachelor's Degree in History from Saint Bonaventure University, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Holy Family University in Philadelphia, where he was the 2006 Richard H. Galup Leadership Award winner and graduated with a 4.0 GPA. Mr. Moore's professional competencies include: surveillance, competitive intelligence, pre-employment & course of employment background screening (FCRA, EEOC, and DPPA compliant), expert testimony, workers compensation claims investigation, liability claims investigation, disability claims investigation, PIP claims investigation, investigative background checks for due diligence, and corporate risk management services. In addition to his duties at Sovereign, Mr. Moore is also an adjunct faculty member at Holy Family University in Philadelphia, PA where he teaches Management, Organizational Theory, Diversity, International Management, Management Information Systems (MIS) and Risk Management courses for undergraduate degree credit. Mr. Moore is the past Vice President of the Holy Family University MBA Alumni Group; a board member of the Holy Family University Division of Extended Learning's Business Advisory Board and is also active with the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS), which promotes adherence to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) for the screening industry.

Richard D. Cottom - President

Richard D. Cottom, CPP (Board Certified Protection Professional), brings a quarter century contract security expertise to the business from the first hand perspectives of both a customer and a seasoned service provider for a major firm. Under his leadership the company has established itself as a quality security services provider in the Philadelphia metropolitan area and beyond. Mr. Cottom has extensive experience as a senior level Executive in the private security and public safety industry. He has worked 5 years in contract security with SpectaGuard Security (now Allied-Barton). Rick then joined the Community College of Philadelphia as the Director of Safety and Security where he worked for 5 years. He joined Drexel University Department of Public Safety as the Senior Associate Vice President. During his tenure at Drexel University, Mr. Cottom completely overhauled and revamped the public safety department. Upon arriving at Drexel University, Mr. Cottom found a department that was lacking equipment, self image, direction, and leadership. Mr. Cottom immediately identified critical areas for improvement. Mr. Cottom then incorporated electronics (CCTV, Access controls systems) with manpower to provide the best possible security blanket for the campus. Rick is an American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) board Certified Protection Professional. Mr. Cottom sat on the Board of Directors for the International Association of Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) from June 2002 to June 2004. Mr. Cottom has also served on the Executive Committee of the Delaware Valley Campus Security Directors Association as President (2yrs), Vice President (2yrs), Treasurer (2yrs), and Secretary (2yrs). Mr. Cottom is also an active member of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE), International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) and the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP).
