Mr. Pursell has more than 34 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining SM Energy, Mr. Pursell was with Helix Energy Solutions Group, Inc. (NYSE: HLX). While at Helix, Mr. Pursell served in several roles including Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and Vice President-Finance and Chief Accounting Officer. Mr. Pursell was with Arthur Andersen LLP, from 1988 through 1997, where he served in roles of increasing responsibility, culminating as an Experienced Manager specializing in the offshore services industry.
Mr. Pursell currently serves on the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement - Rocky Mountain.

During his tenure with SM Energy, he has served in several roles of increasing responsibility and is a valued member of the exploration and geosciences teams.

While at Occidental Petroleum Corporation, Ms. Powers served in several roles including Executive Vice President of Worldwide Exploration for Occidental Oil and Gas Corporation, Vice President of Occidental Petroleum Corporation, Vice President of Worldwide Exploration, Director of Worldwide Geoscience, Vice President of Exploration in Colombia, and Chief Exploration Geologist for Worldwide Exploration.
Ms. Powers currently serves on the Board of Directors of EQT Corporation (NYSE: EQT). Ms. Powers also served as a Director of California Resources Corporation (NYSE: CRC) from August 2017 to October 2020.

Mr. Brookman was appointed in February 2024 to serve as a director and as a member of the Audit Committee and the Environmental, Social and Governance Committee.
Mr. Brookman is a retired oil and gas executive who was with PDC Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: PDCE) for more than 18 years, from 2005 to 2023. While at PDC Energy, Inc., Mr. Brookman served as President and Chief Executive Officer from January 2015 until the company was acquired by Chevron Corporation in August 2023. Mr. Brookman originally joined PDC Energy, Inc. in July 2005 as Senior Vice President-Exploration and Production; he was appointed to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in June 2013 and then served as President and Chief Operating Officer from June 2014 through December 2014. Prior to joining PDC Energy, Inc., Mr. Brookman worked for Patina Oil and Gas and its predecessor Snyder Oil from 1988 until 2005.
Mr. Brookman previously served as the Board Chairman for Coloradans for Responsible Energy Development and Protect Colorado.

Ms. Bailo has been President and Chief Executive Officer of ECOS Consulting LLC since 2014. Ms. Bailo served as Chief Executive Officer of the Center for Automotive Research from 2017 to 2022. Ms. Bailo served as Assistant Vice President of Mobility Research and Business Development of Ohio State University from 2015 to 2017. Ms. Bailo was the Senior Vice President, R&D Americas, Nissan North America, Inc. from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that appointment, she held a variety of technical and managerial positions with Nissan Motor Company Limited. Ms. Bailo started her career in 1978 at General Motors Company and held the position of Engineer, Vehicle Test, General Motors Truck & Bus until 1988.

Prior to joining SM Energy, Mr. Lutey was with Chesapeake Energy Corporation, serving as the Manager of IT Service Delivery since 2007. Prior to Chesapeake Energy Corporation, Mr. Lutey was with ConocoPhillips, serving as the Director of Technical Information Systems since 2006. Prior to ConocoPhillips, Mr. Lutey was with Burlington Resources and served in several roles of increasing responsibility since 1995.

Mr. Vogel was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of SM Energy, and to the Board of Directors, in November 2020, having previously served as President and Chief Operating Officer since July 2020, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since June 2019, and Executive Vice President-Operations since August 2014. Mr. Vogel joined SM Energy in March 2012 as Senior Vice President-Portfolio Development and Technical Services.
Mr. Vogel has 39 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He joined SM Energy after his retirement from BP (NYSE: BP), where he had most recently served as the President of BP Energy Co. and Regional Business Unit Leader of North American Gas & Power. His previous roles at BP included COO-NGL, Power & Financial Products in Houston, Managing Director Gas Europe & Africa in London, and Sr. VP of the Tangguh LNG Project in Indonesia. Mr. Vogel began his career as a reservoir engineer with ARCO Alaska, Inc., and progressed through a series of positions of increasing responsibility in engineering, operations management, new ventures development, and business unit management at ARCO and BP.
Mr. Vogel currently serves on the Engineering Advisory Council and the Mechanical Engineering Strategic Advisory Board at the University of Colorado at Boulder and the Board of Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver. Prior to Encino Energy, Mr. Lebeck was with SM Energy from 2011 to 2018 and served in several roles of increasing responsibility, where he had most recently served as Deputy General Counsel. Prior to SM Energy, Mr. Lebeck practiced law at Davis Graham & Stubbs in Denver and Vinson & Elkins in Houston and clerked for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit in Denver.

Prior to joining SM Energy, Ms. Samuels served as Vice President of Investor Relations at Bill Barrett Corporation since 2007 and served in Vice President positions in Planning and Investor Relations at AIMCO starting in 2002. Ms. Samuels began her career with Apache Corporation.

Prior to joining SM Energy, Ms. Gray worked for Southern Union Gas Company since 1990, serving in the roles of Vice President of its marketing subsidiary, Mercado Gas Services, and Manager of Gas Supply. Prior to that, Ms. Gray was employed by Access Energy Corporation as a Marketing Representative. Ms. Gray began her career as a Gas Contract Analyst with Samson Resources Company.

Mr. Quintana has been a director of SM Energy since 2006 and currently serves as Chairman of the Board and Chairperson of the Executive Committee.
Mr. Quintana is a retired oil and gas executive who was with Tesco Corporation (NASDAQ: TESO) from 2004 to 2015. While at Tesco Corporation, Mr. Quintana served as the President and Chief Executive Officer, and served on Tesco's Board of Directors. Prior to his appointment as President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Quintana served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to Tesco, Mr. Quintana worked for Schlumberger Corporation (NYSE: SLB) for five years as Vice President of Integrated Project Management and Vice President of Marketing for the Americas. Prior to Schlumberger, Mr. Quintana worked for nearly 20 years for Unocal Corporation, an integrated E&P company, in various operational and managerial roles.

Mr. Knott was appointed Senior Vice President-Business Development and Land of SM Energy in August 2014, having previously served as Vice President-Land and Assistant Secretary since October 2012, Vice President of Business Development and Land and Assistant Secretary since August 2008, and Gulf Coast Regional Land Manager since 2004. Mr. Knott joined SM Energy in November 2000 as Senior Landman for the Gulf Coast region.
Mr. Knott has more than 36 years of experience in business development and land. Prior to joining SM Energy, Mr. Knott was with BP Amoco, post-merger with Vastar Resources (the "merger"), as a Senior Landman of the Gulf Coast Region. Prior to the merger, he served in several roles at Vastar including Director of Business Development for the Gulf Coast Region and Senior Landman working the Gulf Coast and Gulf of Mexico regional assets. Prior to Vastar spinning off from ARCO, Mr. Knott was responsible for land and business development activity at ARCO in several geographic areas such as Gulf Coast, Permian, Mid-Continent, Rockies, Michigan and California.
Mr. Knott currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Louisiana Oil and Gas Association (LOGA), and the Natural Resources Management Association (NRMA).
