Dr. Kevin Ericson

After graduating from Wheaton College in Illinois, Dr. Kevin Ericson attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison Medical School. He completed residency training at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis. He then went on to private practice in Green Bay, Wisconsin, for four years. Fulfilling a desire to teach, Dr. Ericson then took a position as a faculty member at Eastern Maine Medical Center's Family Practice Residency Program in Bangor, Maine, where he stayed for four years. Dr. Ericson joined our program in 1997 and has completed a Faculty Development fellowship through Duke University. He maintains a strong interest in medical missions and is the Coordinator of our Global Health Track. He spent time as a medical student in Liberia working in a mission hospital and has served on multiple short-term missions to Guatemala and Trinidad. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine and a Fellow in the American Academy of Family Physicians. He serves as the Family Medicine Center Clinic Director and has interests in obstetrics, pediatrics, evidence-based medicine and point-of-care ultrasound. Dr. Ericson and his wife, Lisa, have four adult children. Dr. Michele Collins

Dr. Michele Collins is originally from the southwest suburbs of Chicago. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and the Program of Liberal Studies. She earned her medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. She initially began her career training in Psychiatry at Rush University Medical Center, but discovered that her true passion resided within Family Medicine. She then moved to Indiana to complete a residency in Family Medicine at SJHS. During her third year of training, she served as Chief Resident of the program. She is excited to be a part of the faculty at SJHS as she has a strong interest in teaching. Her professional interests include dermatology, pediatrics, women's health and mental health. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, watching movies, and applying her fund of useless information to win team trivia. Michelle Pearson

Dr. Pearson graduated from Hanover College and received her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. After completing her residency at Saint Joseph Health System, she provided full spectrum care in a clinic for the underserved for several years. She then worked in a traditional family medicine setting for three years and then returned to her passion for caring for the underserved in a more urban setting while teaching part-time at the residency. She joined the faculty full-time in 2021. Her medical interests include women's care, pediatrics, and care for the underserved. When she isn't working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children as well as gardening, hiking, and travel.
