When Spanish Moss Inc. was founded, one of its' earliest projects was a large development effort for Financial Image Solutions Inc. FIS was building from scratch a Wholesale Lockbox Application. Spanish Moss Inc. provided C and C++ coding to drive large Unisys and NCR industrial scanners and sorters, as well as code to perform Hand Writing Recognition and OCR using neural networks... Prior to founding Spanish Moss Inc., Alan Moss was the Head of Workstations Products and Services Inc. (WPS). A company that was ahead of its time. WPS was originally funded by a contract with Value Line Inc. to create, maintain, provide weekly updates and assist with marketing, a PC based stock selection subscription product that incorporated the famous Value Line Stock Ranking System.
