Soh Tong Heng & Co. started operation in 1971 as a sole proprietorship of Mr. Soh Leng Tong, engaged in supplying and fabricating a wide range of fiberglass products including fiberglass lifeboat repair. With the increase of marine activities in the 1980s, Soh Tong Heng & Co. was incorporated fully into the marine industry major in Hydro Blasting, Painting, Carpentry Job and Lifeboat repair.
