Carlo Daelemans joined the team in 2010, having previously been active in private equity at KBC Private Equity for two years. From 2004 to 2008, he worked for strategy consultant OC&C Strategy Consultants in the Netherlands, London and New York. Carlo is a Civil Engineer in electrical engineering (Catholic Universtity Leuven (KUL) - 2003) and obtained a Master's degree in Financial Economics, also from the KUL (2004).
Carlo is married and has 3 children. In his spare time he enjoys his family and likes running, kite surfing and skiing.

Charlotte Didden joined the Sofindev team in 2023, after working for more than 4 years as a financial auditor at PwC in Brussels. She holds Master's degrees in Applied Economics (2017) and Accountancy and Auditing (2018) from the Catholic University of Leuven.
In her free time, Charlotte plays indoor soccer and enjoys stand-up comedy, skiing and traveling.
Christophe Steverlynck joined the Sofindev team in 2023. After studying Applied Economic Sciences, Christophe started his career as an analyst at the private equity firm AlpInvest Partners. He joined in 2006 the Corporate Finance team of KBC Securities, the investment bank division of KBC Group where he was involved on multiple M&A and ECM transaction. From 2013 to 2023 he worked for the stock listed materials technology group Umicore. He was part of the corporate development team and responsible for various joint ventures, acquisitions, and divestments. He spent the last 6 years abroad as an expat. He oversaw the post-merger integration of an acquisition in Denmark and managed and restructured a business line in the USA.
Christophe is married and father of 3 children. In his spare time, he likes to discover with his family new places around the globe, cook for friends and enjoys running and kitesurfing.
Daan Verbeek joined the team in 2021, after 4 years of work experience at PwC Transaction Services. During this period he completed the M&A traineeship and specialized afterwards in financial due diligence. He obtained a Master's degree in Economics & Law from the Catholic University of Leuven (KUL).
In his spare time, Daan likes to travel, practice sport - like tennis, soccer and running - and listen to music from the '90s.
Eric Van Droogenbroeck has been a Managing Partner of Sofindev since 2006, after having worked for the international London-based private equity fund Industri Kapital. Between 1996 and 2000, Eric worked for the management consultant Arthur D. Little in Brussels. Between 1994 and 1996, he worked in Morgan Stanley's investment banking division in London. Eric is a Commercial Engineer of the Solvay Business School at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (1992).
Eric is married and father of 3 sons. His interests are mountain bike, travel, geography and history books.
Fien Junius has been working as Office Manager at Sofindev since 2022 after previous experiences at PwC, SMEs and the media sector. She obtained degrees in Applied Linguistics and Agro- and Biotechnology, studied music in Sweden and traveled halfway around the world, which makes her at home in many markets.
Fien is (almost) married an has a daughter. Most of her free time you will find her cooking, if there is any time left, she prefers to spend it traveling or with friends, family and the dog.
Hector Bostoen joined the Sofindev team in 2022, after previous experience in BNP Paribas Fortis' in-house Private Equity division. He studied Computer Science Engineering at the Catholic University of Leuven and holds a Master's degree in Finance from EDHEC Business School in Nice.
Entrepreneurship runs in Hector's family, and his other interests range widely - from Formula 1, across art, history and technology, through cooking and guitar. In his free time, he enjoys golf, sailing, skiing and traveling.
Hugo Thys joined the team in 2022, after working in the M&A Advisory team of BNP Paribas in Brussels. Prior to that, he completed internships at Tandem Capital Advisors and Sofindev Private Equity Partners. Hugo holds a Master's degree in Financial Management from Vlerick Business School and a Master's degree in Economics & Law from the Catholic University of Leuven (KUL).
In his spare time, Hugo likes to travel, practice sports, and discover gastronomy together with family and friends.
Jan Camerlynck has been active at Sofindev since 2012. After studying economics at Ghent University (1998), Jan became a research associate at the Faculty of Economics at Ghent University. At the same time, he obtained a Master's degree in Financial Management at the Vlerick Business School (1999-2000). In 2000 Jan started in the Corporate Finance and M&A team of KBC Securities, KBC group's investment banking division. He became head of the Corporate Finance department and a member of the board in 2008.
Jan is married and father of 2 sons. Besides his family, he loves skiing, concerts and football. Club Brugge is his favourite football club.
Jean-Roger de Bandt joined the team as a partner in 2015, after working as Chief Executive Officer at Moteo Group (2006-2013), a medium-sized group with a turnover of 250 MEUR, active in car distribution, and as Chief Executive Officer of two software companies, n-Side and Traxxeo (2013-2015). From 1994 to 2006, he worked in management consulting, first at Arthur D. Little, then at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants (2000-2006), where he became Managing Partner of the Brussels' office in 2002. Prior to this management consulting experience, he worked as Business Development Manager for the telecom supplier Alcatel Bell. Jean-Roger holds a Master's degree in Law from the KUL (Catholic University of Leuven -1988) and a Master in Business Administration from the Columbia Business School (New York - 1996).
Jean-Roger is married and father of 3 children. His hobbies are art and gardening.
Joëlle Starquit joined the team in 2001, after three years of working in an audit and consulting firm in Brussels. Prior to that, she was active in private equity as an analyst at Fortis Private Equity. After 15 years of being active as Investment Manager at Sofindev, she has taken over the CFO role and is now focusing on the financial and administrative management of the funds, as well as corporate governance, compliance and investor relations. Joëlle is Master in Business & Finance Administration (ICHEC Brussels 1997) and Certified Director Guberna.
Her hobbies are gastronomy and oenology, interior decoration and travel.
Lodewijk Koeman joined Sofindev in 2023 and is responsible for operations in the Netherlands. In recent years, he worked on the European expansion of US scale-up Footprint. Before that, Lodewijk gained broad Corporate Finance experience in the Dutch and Belgian markets at Nielen Schuman (between 2013 and 2019) and at NIBC M&A (between 2007 and 2012). He obtained his Masters in Financial Business Economics from the University of Amsterdam (2007).
Lodewijk is married and father of a daughter. In his spare time, Lodewijk enjoys travelling and fine dining and likes running and football.
Louise Bouckaert joined the Sofindev team in 2019, after more than 4 years of work experience in Corporate Finance. In particular, Louise worked in M&A Advisory at the Stephens investment bank in London and in Corporate Finance at the Dutch bank ABN AMRO in Amsterdam. She obtained a Master's degree in Commercial Engineering in 2014 from the Solvay Brussels School (ULB) and a Bachelor's degree in 2012 from the Catholic University of Leuven (KUL).
Born and raised in the United States and having lived in different metropoles, Louise has an open mind set and is always open to challenges. In her spare time, Louise likes to discover new things from travel & cooking to art & music. She likes to do sports and spends a lot of time with her friends and family.
Nicolas De Bruyne joined Sofindev in November 2022, after gaining five years of experience at listed investment firm Gimv.He started his career in 2013 at ING Corporate Finance in Brussels and New York. He then moved to Gimv in 2017 where he made and followed up several investments in the consumer sector. Nicolas is a commercial engineer by training and obtained CFA Level 1 and 2. In 2012, he also obtained a Master's degree in Finance from Vlerick Business School.
Nicolas is married and father of two young sons. He has always been passionate about music and played guitar in several bands (including Coely). He also enjoys running, crossfit, and basketball.
Sven Vandewiele joined the team in 2015, after more than 4 years of experience in Transaction Services at PwC in London and Brussels. Before this experience, he worked as an auditor at PwC Liège for 2 years. Sven is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA Institute) and holds a Master's degree in Financial Management (Vlerick Business school - 2009) and Commercial Engineering (Hasselt University - 2008).
Sven is married and father of 2 children. Sven is a sporty critter that likes to go the gym and runs a lot. He used to practice boxing and was once on a rowing team. In addition, he likes to read non-fiction and biographies with life stories about pushing your limits and 'intrinsic motivation' (such as special forces, fighter pilots, motorcycle racers).
