Dave Atkin, M.D. is the Medical Director of the Orthopedic Clinic and current Chief of Orthopedics of St. Luke's Hospital. He is a board certified orthopedist who completed an additional two-year fellowship in knee and shoulder surgery. His areas of specialization include arthroscopy, sports medicine, and joint replacement. Dr. Atkin, an avid medical volunteer, is the current President of Operation Rainbow, an organization providing free medical and surgical care to indigent children in developing countries. He has led volunteer teams from St. Luke's to the Philippines, Nicaragua, El Salvador, and the Caribbean for over a decade.
Jim Buck,PA-C, MMS, who serves as a Physican's Asssistant within SOMA Orthopedics brings more than seven years of experience in Worker's Compensation to the group. He formerly worked in the Comp Care Clinic where he provided timely treatment and delivered patients back to work while utilizing the AECOM guidelines.
He completed his undergraduate work at West Chester University in foreign language studies, his Physician Assistant training at Hahnemann University and a Master's in Medical Science at St Francis University.
