Brittany Boehm

Brittany graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Information Management with a Concentration in Computer Science in April 2010 and began working at Southwood as the Medical Records Manager shortly thereafter. She also is credentialed as a Registered Health Information Administrator through AHIMA. In 2014 she received her Master of Science degree in Health Information Systems from the University of Pittsburgh. She has been working at Southwood for 12 years and transitioned into the role of Director of Quality Management for Southwood in 2019.

Dominic Granito

Dominic began his journey in healthcare following a challenge posed by a family member. (He was asked to make a difference in the lives of others.) As a result, Dominic began his training and education in the nursing field. Prior to joining the Southwood team, Dominic worked for Beaver County in various capacities before finding his passion in psychiatric nursing. He began his career with Southwood in May 2014 as a nurse the Inpatient Program. Since that time, Dominic has held various roles during his employment that have aided him in further developing his wealth of knowledge and skill set. Dominic's unique leadership style has made him a valuable and influential member of the Southwood team in. His focus on employee and patient opinions, as well as, staff development & safety ensures that we are providing the best quality care and serves available to children and adolescents in our care. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his 3 children.

Kim Lira - CEO

Kim graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the School of Health and Rehabilitation Science. Kim has been working in the Behavioral Health field for the last 19 years focusing on children and adolescent services. In December of 2003, she began her journey with Southwood as a Behavioral Health Associate on the acute inpatient unit. In 2005, she was promoted to a Case Management position while pursuing her Master of Science degree at Carlow University. In 2006 upon completion her master's degree, Kim accepted a newly created role of Milieu Manger for the inpatient unit. After a short departure in 2006, Kim returned to Southwood as the Executive Director of the IDD/ ASD RTF program where she remained until 2009. In 2009, Kim accepted a position with a much larger program with several levels of care as the Director of Residential and Clinical Operations where she remained until April of 2011. She was recruited back to Southwood to take on the position of the Director of Compliance, Risk Management and Performance Improvement, which eventually segue into Kim's promotion to the Chief Operating Officer for Southwood. When the former CEO was promoted to Divisional President within Acadia in 2019, Kim was promoted to the Chief Executive Officer role. In her free time, Kim enjoys spending time with her husband of 23 years and their two sons.

Michele Marian Kuhn

Michele Marian Kuhn, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh with an emphasis in mental health. Michele joined the Southwood team in 2011 as the Director of Social Work. She has worked with individuals, children, and families, in a variety of settings including mental health and kinship care. Prior to Southwood, Michele worked in kinship care and foster care, gaining valuable knowledge about the child welfare system which aids in navigating disposition issues that so many children and families face within the system. Outside of work, Michele enjoys spending time with her family.

Michelle L. Auer

Michelle has been working in the Behavioral Health field for the last 25 years focusing solely on working with children and adolescents. She received an Associate's Degree in Child Development and a Bachelors in Psychology and a minor in Sociology from the University of Pittsburgh in 1997. Michelle has held various roles such as Case Management, Supervisory positions, Assistant Director of Admissions and Marketing for WPIC, HSAO and MHY Family Services. Over the years, she has had the opportunity to develop and maintain relationships with County Stakeholders, Community Provider Agencies, Children Youth and Families (CYF) and Juvenile Probations Services (JPO). These relationships have allowed her to continue to assist families and their children to find the appropriate behavioral health services. Michelle began her journey with Southwood in October of 2014 as the Director of Marketing and is currently performing the duties of Director of Business Development, Marketing and RTF Coordinator. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 23 years and their son. She also enjoys crafting, watching football and traveling.

Thera Gallaway

Thera is a graduate of Carlow University with a BA in sociology and psychology. She received her MA from Indiana University of PA. Prior to working in admissions, she spent over 10 years working with juvenile probation. She has been with Southwood since 2017 as a BHA, admissions counselor, and director of admissions.
