Charles F. Robinson

Charles F. Robinson is an Elder Law Attorney who has specialized in planning for the elderly, disabled, and people with special needs for over 30 years. He was Board Certified by The Florida Bar from 1989 to 2023. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and The Florida Bar Foundation. He serves on the Executive Council of the Florida Bar Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section as a liaison to The Florida Bar Elder Law Section and serves on various committees. He is a member and Past Chair of the Elder Law Section and serves on their Executive Council as a liaison to the Real, Property, Probate, and Trust Law Section. He has served on the Area Agency on Aging of Pasco-Pinellas, Inc. Board for over 27 years and was President twice and Treasurer. He serves as President of the Florida Council on Aging for the second year and chaired the Advocacy Committee for four years. He is a former vice-chair of the Department of Elder Affairs Advisory Council. Charlie is a member of the Board of Directors of Bay Care Alliant Hospital and a past member of the Foundation for Indigent Guardianship, Inc. He is a member of the Professional Partners Council for the local Hospice and an advisor to Advocare Trust for special needs citizens. He is a 1984 graduate of Leadership Pinellas. Charlie is a Fellow of The College of Law Practice Management of the American Bar Association and a past Chair of the Law Practice Management Division of the American Bar and The Florida Bar Practice Management. He served for several years on the American Bar Association's Commission on Law and Aging. He received the Spirit of Hope 2013 Award from the Upper Pinellas Association for Retarded Citizens. Charlie received the Sam Smith Award from the American Bar Law Practice Division. This is the highest award a member can receive, and recipients are selected by past chairs of the Division. The Florida Bar Elder Law Section awarded Charlie their Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013. He received the Charlotte Brayer Public Service Award from The Florida Bar Elder Law Section and as a member of the Florida Public Policy Task Force, the "Outstanding Member" award from the Section. The Florida Academy of Elder Law Attorneys gave him the "Outstanding Member Award". He was awarded the Judge E. Earl Zehmer Award by The Florida Bar for contributions to legal technology exemplifying commitment to bring the legal profession into the Information Age. Charlie has been a practicing attorney in Clearwater since 1967 and has an AV rating from Martindale. He is a graduate of the University of Florida for both his BA and Juris Doctorate degrees. She served on the Florida Bar BLSE Elder Law Certification Exam committee 2005-2009. She served as the Co-Chair and Chair of the Elder Law Committee of the Clearwater Bar Association from 2005-2007. She has served on the Gulfcoast Legal Services Board of Directors from 2004-2007 and on the Clearwater Bar Foundation Board during 2006. She served on the Clearwater Yacht Club Youth Sailing committee from 2002-2004.
