Alan is a qualified accountant with experience in both public practice and industry, including business management experience in specialised equipment development and in corporate IT support services.
Alan was CEO of a niche manufacturing business that successfully designed, developed and exported award winning equipment to leading fast food chains in more than 12 countries. This firm achieved the distinction of being the first globally approved, non-USA based equipment supplier to the world's largest fast food chain. Alan's responsibilities encompassed international market development and product certification as well as being the link between the customer and the NZ-based development team. Alan understands both accounting principles and the key drivers to running successful domestic and export businesses.
