Donna Bernstein

Donna has worked as a pediatric Occupational Therapist for multiple school systems, in the preschool, elementary, and middle school programs. In addition, Donna has worked in rehab facilities and pediatric Occupational Therapy private practice. She started OT Achievements in 2015 and joined us at the Speech Pathways office that year. She has training and experience in "Handwriting Without Tears", "The Alert Program", and "Sequential-Oral-Sensory (SOS)" feeding program, as well as, many other courses on sensory processing disorder, feeding/picky eating, visual-motor skills, and Autism. She received her Bachelor of Science degree of Psychology in 1999 and her Master's degree in Occupational Therapy in 2002 from Towson University. Donna's new expanded sensory-motor gym/office is conveniently located across the hall from Speech Pathways, allowing for collaborative care and co-treatments when desired.

Erica Hamilton

"Miss Erica" joined SPEECH PATHways in June 2008. Erica is trained in the PROMPT method and PECS. Erica has a strong background in working with children on the autism spectrum as well as other special needs populations. She works full-time for the Carroll County Public School System and part-time for SPEECH PATHways. Erica became a speech-language pathologist because she wanted to be part of a helping profession. She loves making a difference in the lives of the children and families that she works with.

Jocelyn Davey

"Miss Jocelyn" has been with SPEECH PATHways since September 2005.

Karie Hadley

"Miss Karie" has been with SPEECH PATHways for 18 years! With a PhD in Psychology and Master's Degrees in both Communication Disorders and Special Education, she is an invaluable asset to the SPEECH PATHway's family. Karie became a Speech-Language Pathologist because she enjoys working with people and improving their communication abilities. She feels great pride in providing her clients with necessary skills for life and watching them progress over time. In addition to working part-time for SPEECH PATHways, Karie also works in the Carroll County Public School system. She has 20+ years of experience working with a variety of ages, including preschool through high school aged students. She has received multiple nominations for Outstanding Teacher in Carroll County.

Kimberly A. Bell

Kim earned her thirteenth ASHA Award for Continuing Education (ACE) in 2015, reflecting her concerted, personal effort to continue professional learning beyond an academic degree. The ACE Award acknowledges her dedication to education and the development of exemplary programs through SPEECH PATHways. Kim was also the 2009 recipient of the Fellow Award of the Maryland Speech-Language-Hearing Association (MSHA), which is bestowed upon a MSHA member in recognition of outstanding professional achievement. Kim has worked in settings ranging from acute care, home-care, skilled nursing, outpatient rehabilitation, early intervention/Infants and Toddler Programs, to public and private schools, universities and private practice. She has extensive experience evaluating and treating patients ranging from infancy to geriatrics. An SLP for nearly 30 years, Kim's expertise is called upon by associations, agencies, and individuals.

Lauren Fraser

"Miss Lauren" has been a valued SPEECH PATHways therapist since 2016. Lauren has a wealth of experience working with a variety of communication based disorders and age groups, ranging from preschool to 12th grade. She has additional training in PROMPT (level 2) and in alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).

Lucy Gumpert

"Miss Lucy" joined Speech PATHways in 2021. Lucy has experience working with children of all ages in school, outpatient clinic, and private practice settings. Lucy's interests and areas of expertise include providing diagnostics and treatment for early language development, preschool and school-aged language, and articulation/phonological disorders. She is trained in the Simon Says programs (Tongue Tips and Thumbs Up) as well as the Beckman Oral Motor approach. Lucy is eager to learn more about providing therapy for children with orofacial myofunctional disorders and childhood apraxia of speech (CAS). She enjoys collaborating with other therapists, educators, and family members to improve a child's functional communication in all settings. Additionally, she enjoys serving as an advocate to parents involved in the IEP process. Miss Lucy can often be found providing play-based therapy, whether she is singing or using wind-up toys to engage her young

Micaella Hernandez

"Miss Micaella" joined SPEECH PATHways in March 2021. Micaella has experience working with children and young adults in both private practice and school settings. She completes comprehensive testing and treats clients for a variety of communication disorders. Micaella grew up in Carroll County and currently lives in Hampstead. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in Communication Science and Disorders and certificate in American Sign Language (ASL) Studies. Micaella continued her education at Loyola University Maryland and graduated from the Master's of Science (M.S.) education program in Speech-Language Pathology in 2018. Micaella is passionate about providing accessible and functional communication. She utilizes a client and family centered, holistic treatment approach with transdisciplinary collaboration as needed to maximize outcomes. In her spare time, Micaella enjoys attending concerts, spending time with her family and fur babies, and traveling.

Susan Becke

She has been in pediatric private practice, enjoyed the birth to three population in Early Intervention (Infants and Toddlers in Maryland), and outpatient pediatric treatment. Once again, she is venturing into private practice as "Susan Becke Pediatric Physical Therapy" and will be providing services at our Westminster location!
