Amy Graham serves as the chief strategy & innovation officer for FirstHealth. She oversees the strategy and innovation department, which consists of business development and planning, executing all transactions for professional services and providing financial, analytics and performance data for the organization. She is also responsible for working with outside legal counsel and state agencies on licensure, certificate of need and other regulatory issues impacting the organization. Graham earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Prior to her role as chief strategy & innovation officer she served as director, business development. She joined FirstHealth in 1993. Graham is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and actively participates with committees of the North Carolina Hospital Association and the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation.

Christopher Fraley

Christopher Fraley, CPA, was named vice president, finance in January 2021. In this position, Mr. Fraley is responsible for the financial operations for all four FirstHealth hospitals, clinics and regional services. Full Bio. Christopher Fraley, CPA, was named vice president, finance in January 2021. In this position, Mr. Fraley is responsible for the financial operations for all four FirstHealth hospitals, clinics and regional services. Mr. Fraley has managed care responsibilities for FirstHealth, which include negotiations for all managed care contracts. He has management responsibilities for revenue cycle (including ER/outpatient registration, admitting, billing and collections), health information management (including coding, transcription and general medical records) and accounting (including financial planning/budgeting, general accounting and hospital reimbursement). Mr. Fraley received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 1996 and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in North Carolina since 1999. He is also a member of the NC Association of CPAs and a member of the NC Healthcare Financial Management Association. Mr. Fraley joined FirstHealth in 1999 and served in a variety of leadership roles at FirstHealth within finance, revenue cycle, managed care and reimbursement services. Prior to serving in his current role as vice president, finance, Mr. Fraley served as the administrative director, revenue cycle since 2007. Outside of work, Fraley enjoys bourbon, good food, camping, hiking, basketball, baseball and music.

Christy Land

Christy Land, MSN, R.N., has served as president of the Southern region and administrator of Moore Regional Hospital-Richmond since February 2022. She earned her associate degree in nursing from Richmond Community College and went on to earn her bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a master's degree in nursing with concentration in executive nursing administration from the University of South Alabama. Land has more than 24 years of health care experience and has served in a number of leadership and nursing roles throughout her career. She most recently served as administrative director, clinical performance at MRH-Richmond. In this role, Land was responsible for quality, patient safety, emergency management and discharge planning. Land has several years of experience in critical care, emergency room and cardiac cath lab nursing, and she served as clinical director of the intensive care unit at MRH-Richmond for almost five years before being promoted to director, clinical performance. She serves on the board for the Richmond County Partnership for Children and the Richmond County Local Emergency Planning Committee. She also volunteers with the Richmond County United Way, Richmond Community College and Rockingham Parks and Recreation. A native of South Carolina, Land has lived in Richmond County for 24 years. Dan Barnes

Dan Barnes, D.O., has served as president of FirstHealth Physician Group since January 2012. The FirstHealth Physician Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of FirstHealth of the Carolinas with more than 200 physicians, physician assistants, dentists, nurse practitioners, psychologists and social workers. Dr. Barnes earned his medical degree from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed both his internal medicine internship and residency at Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston in Texas and is board certified in internal medicine. Dr. Barnes joined FirstHealth Hospitalist Services while completing an assignment as a physician at Womack Army Medical Center at Fort Bragg. During a deployment to Iraq, he received the Surgeon General Award for developing a mobile clinic to help meet the underserved medical needs of Iraqi citizens in remote areas of the Sunni Triangle. Dr. Barnes became medical director of FirstHealth Hospitalist Services in 2007 and has served as vice chair of Moore Regional's Department of Medicine and chair of the Department of Medicine. Education/Experience: Prior to his current position, Mr. Davis served as the president of Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, Va., a position he held from 2015 until February 2021. In that role, Davis had strategic and operational responsibilities for the hospital, primary and subspecialty physician practices, and a community ambulatory surgical center. He also had officer responsibility for Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital, which includes nursing facilities, Home Health and Hospice. Prior to Sentara, Davis served as president of Methodist Charlton Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, and president/CEO of Via Christi-Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center in Pittsburg, Kan. His career also includes experience with two of the largest faith-based health systems in the United States, Ascension and CHI-St. Vincent Health System. Mr. Davis earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Arkansas State University, Master of Arts degree from Northern Arizona University and Master of Public Health Administration from Tulane University/Arkansas Medical School.

Kathleen Stockham has served as president of The Foundation of FirstHealth since November 2005. She joined Moore Regional Hospital in 1988, transferring to the Moore Regional Foundation in 1990. Full Bio. Kathleen Stockham has served as president of The Foundation of FirstHealth since November 2005. She joined Moore Regional Hospital in 1988, transferring to the Moore Regional Foundation in 1990. In 1996, she was promoted to director of development, responsible for implementation and management of Foundation support systems, implementation of the CARE Funds, and administrative support of the Foundation governance and volunteer leadership. Since joining the Foundation, Stockham has been directly involved with the success of three major capital campaigns - In Love and Service, FirstHealth Hospice Endowment and the Stepping Stones Capital Campaign. Mickey W. Foster is the chief executive officer (CEO) of FirstHealth of the Carolinas. Prior to joining FirstHealth, Mr. Foster was president of The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina, and senior vice president for Cone Health from 2014 to 2019. Prior to his role at Moses Cone Hospital, Foster served as president of Cone Health's Annie Penn Hospital and senior vice president of hospital operations from 2010 to 2014. Before joining Cone Health, Foster served as vice president/chief operating officer at Maria Parham Medical Center, a 102-bed hospital in Henderson, North Carolina, from 2007 to 2010. From 2002 to 2007, Foster was administrative director at Duke Raleigh Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. Foster served as director at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro, North Carolina from 1997 to 2002, and education coordinator with FirstHealth corporate education in Pinehurst, North Carolina, from 1994 to 1997. As CEO, Mr. Foster is responsible for directing the development and operation of the Corporation in all activities in coordination with the policies adopted by the Board of Directors. Rebecca W. Carter, MSN, R.N., FACHE, joined FirstHealth of the Carolinas and Montgomery Memorial Hospital in December 2019. She has more than 20 years of senior hospital management experience. Prior to joining FirstHealth, she served as chief executive officer and chief nursing officer for Blue Ridge Regional Hospital for five years. She also served for 17 years as chief operating officer and chief nursing officer for Transylvania Regional Hospital, a rural acute care facility in Brevard, North Carolina. She previously served as director of clinical education, support and development at Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville for eight years. Carter's career also includes experience working as a staff nurse and in nursing education. Carter holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Sharon Nicholson Harrell

SHARON NICHOLSON HARRELL, DDS, MPH, FAGD, FICD, FADI, CDE ®, was named chief diversity officer for FirstHealth of the Carolinas in January 2021 where her role is to promote an inclusive and respectful culture to better uphold FirstHealth's core purpose, "To Care for People.". Dr. Harrell became affiliated with FirstHealth in October 1998 as the inaugural director of dental care. Since then, FirstHealth Dental Care has provided comprehensive dental care to more than 30,000 underserved patients up to age 21, and the centers have received national attention as models for delivery of care to low-income populations. Education/Experience: Dr. Harrell received her dental degree from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in 1987 where she also serves as an adjunct professor, and she completed an Advanced General Dentistry Residency at the University of Maryland Dental School in 1988. She attained her master's degree in public health training at the University of North Carolina Gillings School of Global Public Health in 1990 and achieved Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, the International College of Dentists, and the Academy of Dentistry International. She earned a Certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace from the University of South Florida Muma College of Business in May 2021. Dr. Harrell was recently credentialed as a Certified Diversity Executive. Susan Beaty, R.N., is president of the Eastern region and administrator of FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital-Hoke. She earned her associate degree in nursing from Clinton Community College in Plattsburg, N.Y.; her bachelor's degree in nursing from SUNY College of Technology in Utica, N.Y.; and her master's degree from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minn. Her previous nursing leadership experience includes positions with Duke University Medical Center, first as head nurse/clinic manager for the Bone Marrow Transplant Program and later as nurse clinician and administrative supervisor for the Department of Medicine, Hematology/Oncology Associates. She joined Moore Regional Hospital in 1998 as a staff nurse and the assistant director of nursing for the Critical Care and Telemetry units. After a period of service with Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, she rejoined FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital - Richmond in Rockingham and later served as clinical director of Oncology Services at Moore Regional.
