Prior to coming to SWA in 2022, Dayna worked in a Client Services role for a wealth management firm in Maple Grove. She attended Century College in White Bear Lake and Kaplan University online earning her Series 65 and Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional certifications. Her role at SWA has her assisting Becky and Anita--scheduling and attending client meetings and assisting with follow up, paperwork and miscellaneous client-related tasks. "The focus on client service that the SWA culture embodies is present in each one of our team members. I like to continue to learn and grow and have an active part in providing the best possible service experience for our clients."

Evan Laleman

Kay Strand

Kay works closely with team members in communications to clients, the website and special projects, as well as the day to day running of the business.. Before joining SWA in 2012, Kay worked in the same capacity for a financial advisory firm in Minneapolis for 8 years and for 9 years as an Office Manager/Controller for a construction company prior to that. Kay received a B.S. degree in Interior Design and a B.A. in Journalism from South Dakota State University in Brookings. "I like seeing clients achieve their goals-whether that be early financial independence or a child graduating from college with little to no debt. We help with all stages of life."

Matt Wright

Job Titles:
  • Investment Analyst III
Matt's responsibilities include client portfolio analysis and recommendations. He is also in charge of trading and rebalancing of client accounts. Matt has been involved in wealth management since 2004, primarily in roles of investment research and portfolio management. However, he also has experience with financial planning and taxation that are valuable in SWA's integration of portfolio management into our clients' overall wealth management program. Along with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Finance, he also received minors in Chemistry and Environmental Engineering from the University of Minnesota, Duluth. In 2008, he earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation. "I want our clients to understand that the long-term process is much more important than short-term outcomes. We can show our clients how to take advantage of the things we can actually control and mitigate the risk of those things we can't."
