Bill Neighbors

A Colorado native, Bill Neighbors received a Bachelor of Science degree in Farm and Ranch Management and a Master of Science degree in Economics from Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Neighbors received his law degree from the University of Colorado in Boulder in 1965.

Brad Ramming

Brad Ramming practices in the firm's litigation department and is the firm's principal shareholder responsible for client matters involving construction oriented litigation. In addition, Mr. Ramming has extensive experience representing litigants in toxic tort litigation, including cases involving, mold, asbestos, radioactive materials and other contaminants alleged to have caused bodily injury and death. Mr. Ramming also represents clients in a variety of cases involving property damage including, but not limited to damage caused by fires, trespass, explosions and other occurrences. Mr. Ramming's practice also includes the representation of landowners who are involved in litigation over their alleged liability for bodily injuries suffered by plaintiffs making claims under Colorado's Premises Liability Act. In the course of his career Mr. Ramming has also assisted a number of clients who were involved in litigation related to allegations of wrongful death arising from traffic accidents. Mr. Ramming's construction law practice is related to the defense of builders, developers, contractors, subcontractors and design professionals, including architects and engineers, in construction related lawsuits. Mr. Ramming is regularly involved as lead counsel on Colorado's largest and most complex multi-family construction defect trials. In addition, Mr. Ramming also assists business and individual clients in evaluating and prosecuting construction related claims. Mr. Ramming has arbitrated and tried cases involving the priority and foreclosure of mechanic's liens, actions against landowners, single family construction defects, commercial construction contract disputes and insurance bad faith. He has acted as lead and co-counsel on numerous jury and court trials as well as many arbitrations under the auspices of the American Arbitration Association and the National Association of Securities Dealers. In addition to acting as a litigator, Mr. Ramming is also frequently engaged by members of both the Plaintiff and Defense bar to act as a mediator. Mr. Ramming has mediated cases involving disputes related to construction defect, breach of contract and payment disputes related to medical office buildings, multi-family residential housing projects, single family homes, corporate facilities and retail establishments. In law school, Mr. Ramming was a member of the Moot Court Trial Advocacy team and Moot Court Board of Governors. He continues to work with young adults by regularly participating as a panelist in state sponsored Moot Court competitions. He is rated "AV Preeminent 5.0 out of 5" by Martindale Hubbell, was recognized and honored for inclusion in "Super Lawyers" by Law and Politics Magazine in 2010 and 2013-2018, and has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America for his work in construction litigation since 2017. Mr. Ramming has also been published in "The Colorado Lawyer." Mr. Ramming regularly participates as a lecturer at construction law conferences, both in Colorado and in other areas of the Country, and has spoken at conferences sponsored by various organizations including the American Bar Association and the National Institute of Trial Advocacy.

Hon. Ann B. Frick

Ann B. Frick joins JAG after a 38-year career as a commercial litigator, arbitrator, mediator and Denver District Court Judge. Judge Frick was voted best Colorado State District Court Judge by the readers of Colorado Law Week in 2013 and 2015. Judge Frick has been listed for several years in Best Lawyers in America, Colorado's Super Lawyers (top ten 2009 and 2010), and Chambers U.S.A. America's Leading Lawyers for Business. Judge Frick was the featured Colorado Super Lawyer in 2010. Judge Frick has been very active in the American College of Trial Lawyers, serving as Colorado State Chair and Vice Chair of the College, Task Force on Discovery and Justice 2008-2015. Jane Michaels

Justice Rice

Justice Rice is a frequent presenter at CLE seminars on evidence, trial practice, appellate practice, ethics, and views from the bench. She has also written numerous articles on trial and motion practice, as well as legal writing Justice Rice was born in Boulder, Colorado, but moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming and graduated from high school there. Katy Miller

Katy Miller earned her reputation as a first-rate employment attorney, tough litigator and savvy negotiator over a 25-year career that included successfully pursuing class actions in age and gender discrimination cases. Having spent decades in the courtroom, Katy founded Littleton Alternative Dispute Resolution, Inc., in 1997 to help people avoid expensive, divisive litigation. She has witnessed first-hand the toll litigation takes on individuals and organizations and now works exclusively as an independent neutral in various capacities - mediator, arbitrator, independent investigator, labor cases and Consent Decree Monitor. The bulk of Katy's practice is by referral. Over 90 percent of the hundreds of mediations she has conducted resolved at mediation. Samuel Gordon

Samuel Gordon, Esq. has mediated well over 4,700 civil cases in the past twentyeight years. He is known for the insight, persistence, and sense of humor he brings to his practice, and is the Administrative Partner for the Denver JAMS resolution center. Beginning in 1991, in addition to his private practice, Mr. Gordon mediated civil cases for the Colorado Judicial Branch Office of Dispute Resolution (ODR). On behalf of ODR, Mr. Gordon was a representative to various governmental entities providing information and assistance for the creation of and participation in alternative dispute resolution programs. Mr. Gordon initiated the mediation program at the Arapahoe Justice Center that has since evolved into the Mediation Division within their Multi-door Courthouse Office. Sanford M. "Sandy" Brook

Sanford M. "Sandy" Brook joined Judicial Arbiter Group, Inc. in April, 2004 after sixteen years on the bench in Indiana. Sandy is the former Chief Judge of the Indiana Court of Appeals. Prior to service on the appellate bench, Brook spent twelve years on the trial bench in South Bend, Indiana. In his last three years on the trial bench he also served as Chief Judge. Following law school, Brook served as an Assistant City Attorney and then as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in St. Joseph County, Indiana before he entered private practice. As a trial lawyer he was involved in over 100 jury trials. As a trial judge he presided over 190 jury and 600 bench trials. While on the Indiana Court of Appeals he authored over 700 appellate opinions. While a judge, he promoted alternative dispute resolution in the Indiana court system by serving as a judicial mediator and conducting numerous settlement conferences at both the trial and appellate levels. Since 1987, Brook has taught extensively in the areas of Evidence and Trial Advocacy. As an Adjunct Professor at the Notre Dame Law School he taught both basic and advanced trial advocacy courses. In 1999, Sandy Brook was appointed Adjunct Professor at the Indiana University Law School in Bloomington. He presently serves as the Litigation Training Consultant to one of the largest law firms in the US, a position he has held for 15 years. He has taught Evidence in the Indiana Bar Review Course. Active in the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) he has taught advocacy internationally in Canada, England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Thailand, Hong Kong and Puerto Rico.

Ty Holt

Ty is a nationally recognized construction neutral with more than thirty years of experience as a mediator and arbitrator. During this period, he has successfully mediated more than two hundred and fifty disputes and has served as an arbitrator in more than one hundred and fifty arbitration proceedings.
