SAIL-SCL Kerala Limited (SSKL) is a Joint Venture Company (JVC) with equal shareholding between the Government of Kerala (GoK) and Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL). The Factory, Registered Office and the Sales Depot of the Company are situated within Kozhikode Corporation, hardly 6 KM from the City Centre on the Kozhikode-Feroke Stretch of NH 66. SSKL has a 50000 tpa Steel Melting Shop (SMS) and a 65000 tpa TMT Rolling Mill. The SMS is equipped with three numbers of 10/12 MT Electric Arc Furnaces and Twin-Strand Continuous Casting Machine capable of producing 100 x100 mm Steel Billets conforming to IS:2830:2012. Besides Mild Steel, SSKL can produce En-8, En-9, En-44 and En-45 Grade Medium and High Carbon Steels against firm orders.
