Donna Smith

Prior to Coronis Health, Donna was the Chief Operations Officer of Laboratory Billing Solutions (LBS) where she led the Revenue Cycle Operations for the company. Donna was instrumental in helping scale LBS' growth across all major operations areas. Donna provided alignment and improvement of processes in several key areas - Human Resources, Billing Operations, and Client Relations - that has allowed LBS to provide an ever-improving product to its clients. Donna's background contains a wealth of management experience in revenue cycle with time spent in hospital revenue cycle with Parallon Business Solutions, an HCA based company, and physician/provider revenue cycle serving multiple specialties across the healthcare spectrum. Donna also served as a Provider Relations Manager for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee where she oversaw payer contract negotiations and the credentialing processes that provides her with invaluable insights into the payer side of the revenue cycle process. Leadership and Mentorship are two of Donna's passions and she takes great pride in helping to grow leaders within the company and watch them succeed. Donna earned an MBA degree from Phoenix University and a BA degree from Trevecca Nazarene University in Management and Human Resources.

Eva Galisim

Prior to Coronis Health, Eva was the Director of IT, Client Installation, and Projects for Laboratory Billing solutions (LBS) where she oversaw the system build, enhancements, and maintenance of LBS' entire billing platform. In this role, Eva led both internal and client projects as part of the installation process and system enhancements. She coordinated system development and the configuring of processes to bring industry leading workflows and processes to LBS' client base. Prior to joining LBS, Eva served as Associate Director for HalioDx in Richmond, Virginia. At HalioDx, she developed workflow processes for billing and managed HalioDx's outsource billing team ensuring that claims were billed in a timely fashion and reimbursement was maximized. Before HalioDx, Eva held Director positions in revenue cycle for several laboratories in Virginia and California as well as a multi-specialty physician office. In these roles, Eva managed the entire revenue cycle process - Charge entry, Posting, Accounts Receivable, Database Management, and Financial reporting in both multi-physician practices and laboratories. Eva's expertise and accomplishments as a revenue cycle manager are an invaluable asset to Coronis and its clients. Eva has been a stalwart in the healthcare revenue management for over 33 years. She is a motivated leader with strong organizational and prioritization abilities. Her areas of expertise include staff development, revenue cycle, system implementation, and operational efficiencies. Eva is a powerful force in the workplace and uses her positive attitude to encourage others to learn and succeed. Eva holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines.

Frank Perrotta - CTO

Frank Perrotta brings more than 30 years of healthcare technology experience to Coronis Health. Before joining Coronis, Frank served as PractiSource's Chief Technology Officer, and remains a founding member of the company. At PractiSource, he was responsible for all aspects of technical operations such as, software design, IT system integrations, interoperability, and implementation. Frank started his entrepreneurial career designing and developing enterprise class software solutions for a number of Fortune 500 companies. Over 20 years ago, he focused on developing industry leading applications for healthcare including practice management systems. In fact, Frank was responsible for developing one of the earliest successful practice management SAAS models which he has since delivered via a myriad of platforms throughout his career. As a founding partner and CTO of SSIMED Corporation, he developed medical billing and practice management software systems serving thousands of medical providers. SSIMED was a highly successful provider of healthcare software as well as being a large medical billing and RCM firm processing billions of dollars of claims In addition to Frank's billing operations, IT, and implementation leadership roles, he also was responsible for the development of a CCHIT, ONC-HIT Electronic Health Record system.SSIMED was later acquired by Origin Healthcare Solutions where he served as Vice President of Technology. Frank's education is from Central Connecticut State University and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Frank resides in Connecticut and enjoys being a dad to his son.

Holly Perkins

Prior to Coronis Health, Holly was the Client Relations Manager for Laboratory Billing Solutions (LBS). In this role, she led the Client Relations Team which brings industry leading support to LBS' lab partners. Holly's leadership enabled LBS to maintain effective communication between LBS' client base and LBS Billing Operations to help facilitate best-in-class workflows and collection performance. Her guidance of strategic discussions for both clients and the internal team members provide LBS' clients with a truly integrated billing experience. Prior to joining LBS, Holly has 10 years of experience working in Laboratories, specifically in the billing and business development areas. Holly maintains a tremendous amount of expertise in the often-complex nursing home industry. This background provides Holly with an important and unique perspective in tackling billing issues for Labs. Holly's background brings a wide array of knowledge in client communications, onboarding, and education of laboratory billing practices and procedures.

Kerry Lowery

Kerry has over 30 years of experience in healthcare management, consulting and practice operations focusing on decision support by helping organizations and teams use data to make effective decisions. Kerry is the President of SupportMed Inc. and has partnered with Coronis Health, which manages anesthesiology and pain management practices. He has served as an administrative executive for 2 large anesthesia practices in the last 15 years. Additionally, Kerry has been working with various consulting firms for several years on anesthesiology projects around the country. During his career, Mr. Lowery's responsibilities have included work in hospital administration and with all aspects of physician business services. Over the years, he has worked with over 400 hospitals and medical groups in various medical specialties and has extensive experience in physician group development, medical practice consolidation and integration. He has worked with medical groups to develop and manage strategy and improve operations such as revenue cycle performance and internal business operations. Most recently, he has worked closely with anesthesiology groups and hospitals facilitating the development of collaborative service agreements and working with parties to understand and improve OR performance and utilization. He has been a regular speaker for professional societies and is a past President of the MGMA's Anesthesia Administration Assembly.

Markus Muhlhauser - SVP

Markus Muhlhauser brings over 20 years of expertise in healthcare revenue cycle management to Coronis Health. Prior to joining Coronis, Markus founded PractiSource - a full-service medical billing and RCM company catering to Lab facilities. Markus also served as CEO of PhyLogic Healthcare, a nationwide physician revenue service company he founded in 2001. He led PhyLogic to 10 years of consistent, positive growth without exception. In 2011, PhyLogic was acquired by ADP AdvancedMD where Markus served as VP of Business Development and RCM Sales. Prior to 2001, he was founder and president of MGM Integrated Services, the business development and sales and marketing division of a large billing and practice management systems company. Markus started his career as a Reimbursement Specialist with the Medical Bureau of Economics (MA) where he led large A/R management projects and served as a client liaison to clients such as Massachusetts General Hospital. Markus holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Hartford. He understands that our clients work hard and provide valuable services to their patients and therefore deserve to get paid appropriately. Markus and his wife, Ania, have three children. He and his family live in Connecticut and also spend significant time in Florida. Markus served his community in the field of law enforcement as well as in the United States Marine Corps. He currently volunteers his time as a Chief Instructor in Wildlife Conservation for the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection and serves on multiple boards.

Matt Hirsch

Prior to Coronis Health, Matt was the Director of Business Development for Laboratory Billing Solutions (LBS). At LBS, Matt led the sales effort and the development of LBS' strategic product enhancements. As part of the product development work, Matt led LBS' focus on reporting and developing more actionable insights for LBS' partners. These enhancements drove significant improvements in collections and workflows for both the laboratory and billing. Additionally, Matt led the development of LBS' customer facing portals for both client and patients and has worked closely with LBS' install team to assist in streamlining the process for LBS' customers. As part of Matt's role in Business Development, he served as the lead project manager for LBS' consulting engagements. He has led successful assignments for one of the largest health system laboratories in the country as well as two different reviews for one of large publicly traded lab companies in the United States. More recently, he led billing due diligence reviews for major US private equity firms as part of their acquisition processes. Matt previously worked as a consultant for aLabs and Nichols Management Group where he helped provide market assessment and opportunity analysis for some of the largest hospital-based laboratories in the country. Matt earned his BA from Colby College in 2008 studying Economics with a Concentration in Financial Markets.

Tom Hirsch

Tom is the Co-Founder of Laboratory Billing Solutions and has had extensive experience in the management and operations of hospital and independent laboratories. Prior to LBS, Tom was President and Chief Executive Officer of Path Lab, Inc. from June 1984 through February 2003, a highly successful hospital based independent laboratory. The company was sold to LabCorp in April of 2001 for in excess of $100 million. Path Lab was the second largest laboratory in New England with annual sales of $70 million. The laboratory was an industry leader in working with institutions and developing innovative solutions to enhance laboratory performance. Path Lab managed six hospital laboratories, five major physician office labs, and had management agreements with New York University Medical Center and Clinical Laboratory Partners, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hartford Hospital. Tom also served as President of Diagnostic Laboratory Services in Honolulu, Hawaii from 1989 to 1994. The company was a joint venture with Queens Medical Center that Tom helped start in 1986 and grew into the largest laboratory in Hawaii with $35 million in sales. Tom also assisted two hospitals in Worcester, Massachusetts in establishing a joint venture laboratory to serve the two institutions and served as Chief Executive Officer of that organization from 1988 to 1991. Tom has also worked on numerous laboratory consulting assignments with academic health centers and other major hospital systems. In addition, he has advised several healthcare private equity firms in evaluating laboratory acquisitions and mergers. From 2011 to 2013 he worked closely with Accretive, LLC in developing their lab sector initiative, aLabs, now called Accumen, as Founding Executive. He was instrumental in closing the initial management contracts with Sharp HealthCare and ACL, a jointly owned laboratory of Advocate Health Care and Aurora Health Care in the Midwest. Tom previously served as Associate in the Health and Medical Division of Booz-Allen & Hamilton in New York, where he performed strategic planning and financial management assignments for large hospitals and academic health centers. After Booz-Allen, he was Director of Laboratory Production and then Vice President of Laboratory Operations for Metpath, Inc., now known as Quest Diagnostics.
