STRACHAN CROUSE - Key Persons

Charl Crouse was born in London England. He grew up and attended schools in Pretoria, and obtained his B. Comm Accounting degree from the University of Pretoria in 1984 and his CTA from the University of South Africa in 1986. He served his articles at a medium size audit firm from 1985 to 1987 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA) in 1988. He was admitted to a partnership at the same firm where he served his articles in 1989. He subsequently gained audit, accounting and consulting experience in the following industries: Printing, publishing and bookshops Manufacturing Property development, marketing and rentals Farming activities Professional services He also developed skills regarding individual tax planning, estate planning and administration as well as retirement planning and tax. Charl served two terms as the Chairman of Financial matters of the School Governing Body at the high school which his children attended. He also serves as a member of the Management Committee of his running club and is the holder of a permanent Comrades Green Number. Charl enjoys birding over weekends and during holidays. He served on SAICA's Small Practice Committee and is a member of the Practitioner's Forum of the Pretoria Regional Association of Chartered Accountants

Danie Strachan grew up in Windhoek, Namibia. He obtained his B. Comm. Accounting degree from the University of Pretoria. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA) in 1983 and also became partner in the same year. Danie is experienced in auditing and has been involved in the audits of small as well as large privately held businesses, Retirement Funds and a Medical Aid Scheme.

Gert Meiring grew up in the small farming town Petrus Steyn in the Eastern Free State. After completing his B. Comm Accounting degree at the University of Pretoria in 2006, he joined Strachan & Crouse in 2007 for his SAICA training. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA) in February 2011 and became a partner in March 2012. Gert specializes in residential property development, consulting and retail trade companies.

Lezanne Viljoen (nèe Stephens) grew up in the heart of the scenic Lowveld, in Malelane. After matriculating in 2006 from Nelspruit High School, she decided to leave the Lowveld and moved to the city. Lezanne started her articles at Strachan & Crouse in 2007, the same year in which she enrolled in part time studies towards her B-Compt degree at the University of South Africa. She obtained her degree within 3 years and on completion of her articles, she was appointed as a manager. Lezanne qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA) in February 2014 and became a partner of Strachan & Crouse in March 2015. Lezanne is passionate about her work, music and enjoys the outdoors. As the latest addition to the partners of the firm, she is excited not only to be part of the growth and success of Strachan & Crouse, but also to contribute towards that in the future.
