Evžen Novák

Evžen has been a Director of Studio Pacific Architecture since the company's founding in 1992. He is a Registered Architect in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom and since 1985 has gained almost 40 years' work experience in the disciplines of urban design, architecture and interior design. Evzen has particular skills in design and design management. Evžen's involvement in community projects has given him a key understanding of the importance of stakeholder input, consultation and optimising architectural solutions where budget is often critical. Evzen has also worked with leading commercial companies and government departments on a range of commercial projects that need to meet the requirements of widely varying groups of users. Evžen has had a long standing interest in environmentally sustainable design and has been one of those instrumental in moving ESD from a fringe activity into the mainstream of construction thinking. Nick Barratt-Boyes - Managing Director

Nick Barratt-Boyes is the Managing Director of Studio Pacific. He has over 32 years' work experience in the disciplines of urban design, strategic masterplanning, architecture, interiors and sustainability. Nick founded Studio Pacific Architecture in 1992 alongside Evžen Novák and Stephen McDougall. Having worked in Great Britain on projects in a variety of countries including Germany, France, The Netherlands and Britain, Nick brings an invaluable international perspective to the work he is involved with. He has travelled extensively, lecturing, teaching and leading urban design workshops in regions as diverse as Estonia and Uzbekistan. Nick is an assessor for the New Zealand Architects Registration Board. He has been a member of Victoria University's Annual Visiting Panel and tutored at Victoria University's School of Architecture in urban design. Nick is also experienced as an expert witness (Urban Design) in the Environment Court. He has a strong interest in urban design, urban regeneration, affordable housing, landscape design, workplace strategy, seismically advanced office buildings and sustainability. Stephen McDougall - Founder

Stephen McDougall has been a Director of Studio Pacific since the company's founding in 1992. He is a Registered New Zealand Architect with 30 years' work experience in the disciplines of urban design, strategic masterplanning, architecture and interior design. The range of Stephen's work and experience extends to a number of countries including Libya, Australia, Great Britain, France, The Netherlands and Uzbekistan. Stephen has extensive knowledge and experience and has provided design leadership for many of the Studio's award-winning projects. Stephen has particular skills in new workplace theory, space planning and look and feel of contemporary workspaces and has provided leadership for many of the Studio's award winning office fitouts. He has also worked on a number of the Studio's key waterfront urban design projects and also has extensive experience in housing and accommodation. Stephen is passionate about architecture and design and carries this enthusiasm and energy through to opportunities to promote the use of wool through all Studio projects as well as being a strong voice within the industry.
