Steven N. Mogel

For the five year period immediately prior to opening his own practice, Steven worked for a well-regarded local law firm, concentrating in the areas of civil litigation and appeals, municipal law, zoning and planning, corporate and business law, commercial and residential real estate, probate and administration proceedings, estate planning, trusts, and wills, collections, and family and matrimonial law. Steven N. Mogel earned his Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law in Manhattan in 2001, where he was a member of the Fordham International Law Journal, the recipient of the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award and the Public Service Student Award, and was chairman of the Death Penalty Project. Steven is a 1992 graduate of the State University of New York at Oneonta where he graduated magna cum laude, was ranked First in his major, received the Excellence in Philosophy Award and was the first recipient of the Ninash Foundation Scholarship. He is a member of the New York Bar, and is a member of the Federal Bar in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Steven previously worked as an attorney for the City of New York's Department of Homeless Services, and for the New York Legal Assistance Group LegalHealth® unit, serving the civil legal needs of persons suffering from serious and/or chronic illness.
