STUDIO 11 - Key Persons
I've worked in several capacities at WPXI over the years - newscast writer/producer, entertainment VJ, digital executive producer and now sales with a focus on production. My first WPXI job in 2004 was writing/producing the newscasts. At the same time, I was also a one-man-band news reporter at WJAC. Traveling back and forth between Pittsburgh and Johnstown was hard, but I learned a ton and had a blast. I love everything about television news and commercial production - the fast pace, the powerful stories, the beautiful images and the people I work with and meet.
Job Titles:
- Marketing Account Manager
I operate robotic cameras and floor direct. This was my first job in television. I've always loved being behind the scenes of a "Live" newscast.
Job Titles:
- Cinematographer, Writer, Producer
My job has two parts: Getting people to watch WPXI-TV and getting people to watch and respond to our clients' commercials! I love that every day is different and that there's always a new opportunity to be creative and develop a winning strategy for the station or for a client. Before working behind the camera, I worked in front of the camera. My assignments took me everywhere from the red carpet of the "Wedding Crashers" movie premiere in Manhattan, to the set of "America's Got Talent" in Los Angeles.
Job Titles:
- Creative Services Director
I love production! In my job I get to do it all write, produce, direct and best of all oversee a great group of talented producers. My first job in the business was writing promo copy for Scooby Doo. Most embarrassing moment asking on a film set "why is that monitor flickering?"
I am a Production Assistant with Studio 11 Pittsburgh. My favorite part of working in television is seeing so many different visions go into making a newscast or TV spot and getting one result that satisfies everyone. My first job in the business was as an on-set photographer taking behind the scenes stills for a Travel Channel program.
