Aaron Rash

Job Titles:

Electrical Designer

Aaron is a problem solver, and solving a variety of challenging and engaging puzzles is one the reasons Aaron became an engineer. He continues to work to increase his proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other software programs, which improving his understanding of the design process. He is motivated to earn his FE and PE certifications and use his knowledge and experience as a licensed electrician in Delaware to develop effective engineering designs.

Adam Paterson

Job Titles:

Associate / Sr. Fire Protection Engineer

Adam has over 15 years of dedicated fire protection consulting experience including building regulations compliance, standard and alternative suppression systems design, and emergency voice fire alarm system design. His experience spans across a variety of clients, facilities, and roles in the fire protection industry. Predominately working in the mid-Atlantic region, he has served as a fire protection subject matter expert, provided building code compliance consulting on complex new buildings and renovations, and designed all manors of fire suppression and fire alarm/mass notification systems.

Al Nance

Job Titles:

Principal

Al brings over five decades of experience in the design and preparation of contract documents for construction of air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration systems. He has a broad facility design experience including universities, laboratories, museums, and even rare book vaults. Throughout his career, he emphasizes integration of mechanical systems with all building systems. Because quality designs begin with quality concepts, Al's role within Summer Consultants is to work with each of our engineers at the beginning of every design project. His experience and technical expertise helps guide our projects from conceptual beginnings to viable, buildable designs.

Andrew Maio

Job Titles:

Mechanical Engineer

Andrew has been with Summer Consultants for more than five years. In his time with the firm, he has collaborated with team members on a variety of projects, allowing him to acquire industry skills while seeing a project through from start to finish. He looks forward to continued learning and improving his engineering design talents as a productive member of the Summer team.

Anne Juran

Job Titles:

Vice President / Sr. Mechanical Engineer

With over 20 years of work experience, Anne has broad experience on a variety of projects, with a focus on laboratories. Anne has become Summer Consultants' go-to laboratory design specialist, leading multi-discipline studies and designs for research, nuclear, medical, and BSL-2 and BSL-3 facilities projects. Anne takes the time to understand researchers needs and procedures to design systems that provide both occupant safety and energy efficiency. Her design experience also makes her a valuable commissioning agent, leading Summer Consultants' commissioning studio. As a project manager, she challenges rising young engineers to think and solve problems faced in HVAC design. Anne actively participates in two ASHRAE Technical Committees (TC) 2.2 and 9.10. She chairs the TC 9.10 subcommittee that is re-writing the ASHRAE Laboratory Design Guide, putting a new spin on her project management and laboratory design experience.

Anthony Shank

Anthony joined Summer Consultants upon graduation from college. His experience working for a mechanical contracting company helped guide him to the engineering field. With experience on a variety of projects, including chillers, ventilation, piping, and emergency generators, he is developing his design skills while helping to create efficient building systems. He is motivated to continue his learning experience and grow his engineering knowledge.

Ben Bresee

Job Titles:

Associate / Sr. Mechanical & Fire Protection Engineer

Ben aims to make engineering as easy as possible for each client from scope definition to construction close out. Possessing nearly 20 years of experience in mechanical systems with a focus on utility distribution and expertise in fire protection engineering, he has prepared many studies and designs of federal, historic, and institutional facilities. Driving his work ethic is the satisfaction of completing a project on time with full dedication to quality and criteria compliance.

Brian Lewis

Job Titles:

Associate / Sr. Electrical Engineer

Brian brings a lot of experience with federal and institutional work to Summer Consultants. Brian is responsible for all aspects of electrical engineering and design for the various projects that he works on from scope development and fee proposals to construction documents and construction administration. He has experience designing medium and low voltage power distribution systems, emergency power systems, lighting systems, fire alarm systems and communications systems.

Cameron Parks

Electrical Designer

Cameron joined the Summer team after graduating from Old Dominion University. He has had the opportunity to jump into new, and existing, projects and learn multiple tools while becoming an integral part of the electrical team. His experience has included many diverse projects to help broaden his learning experience and work as an engineer.

Chip Anastasi - SVP

Job Titles:

Senior Vice President

With over 30 years of mechanical engineering experience, Chip has taken on many leadership and mentoring roles at Summer Consultants. He is dedicated to practicing and teaching an integrative design approach. His broad experience includes all phases of air conditioning, heating, steam, refrigeration, automatic temperature controls, plumbing and fire protection systems. He is passionate about influencing sustainable design supported by energy modeling simulations. During his tenure, he has applied his expertise on many federal, historic and institutional facilities with an emphasis on complex renovation projects.

Christian Ciraco

Job Titles:

Electrical Designer

Christian has always been curious to see how things work and what makes systems function, so he knew he wanted to be an engineer from a young age. His interest in power systems and design helped guide him to electrical engineering. He joined Summer Consultants upon graduation and is already working on a variety of projects including lighting calculations, short circuit and protective device coordination studies, and low and medium voltage electrical systems. He looks forward to putting his best effort forward and learning as much as he can.

Danielle Regula

Mechanical Designer

Danielle knew she wanted to be an engineer since her freshman year in high school. Her focus on mechanical engineering is the result of an internship working on a new facility where she learned of just how big of a role mechanical engineering plays in building design. In her role as a mechanical designer, she applies her math and problem solving skills to contribute to the design of complex mechanical systems.

Dave Peterson

Job Titles:

Staff Member

A member of Summer Consultants' team for more than 15 years, Dave excels at conceptualizing drawings in a three dimensional aspect. As a mechanical engineer, he coordinates complex renovation projects extremely well because of his spatial awareness. This also translates into his ability to survey existing facilities with great accuracy and memory. He aids the team in time management and execution of various projects including labs, government facilities, and historic institutional facilities.

David Baer

David has always wanted to take things apart to see how they work. This curiosity led to his work in the Marines as a light armored vehicle mechanic, and as a small engine mechanic while he pursued his degree. David joined Summer Consultants upon earning his degree and is looking forward to being able to disassemble each building and system in order to understand how they work so he can put it back together even better than it was.

Eric Auth

Eric joined Summer Consultants upon graduation from one of only six universities in the United States offering degrees in fire protection engineering. He became interested in engineering through his internships designing fire protection systems and understanding how and why these systems are used. His work includes life safety and code consulting as well as design of fire suppression and fire alarm/mass notification systems for a diverse range of facility projects.

Evelyn Di Savino

Evelyn has worked at Summer Consultants for more than seven years, since her graduation from the University of Virginia. She has had the opportunity to work under the supervision of multiple project managers, allowing her to learn different skills and perspectives in the field. Throughout her time at Summer Consultants, she has developed as an engineer, gaining experience from coordinating distribution systems to lighting analysis, and shares her knowledge and experience with newer members of the electrical engineering team.

Fiorella Cerna-Segura

Fiorella became a business administrator, but has always been fascinated by accounting. Her passion for working with numbers and understanding the story behind them, rather just counting them, inspired her to work as an accounts specialist. She enjoys helping businesses keep their finances in order as well as the challenge of analyzing the numbers using formulas and metrics. That success in overcoming each obstacle is her greatest motivator.

Frederick Sanchez
