Our company was founded in April 1980 by the late Otis J. Elmore Sr., the late Mitchell G. Hill and the late Ruth Weatherly. After many years' experience in Funeral Service in the Sumter, Shaw and surrounding communities, the Elmore-Hill Funeral Home began serving families out of the newly renovated "Rowland Mansion" at 221 Broad Street. After a year in business a 300-seat capacity Chapel was added to further serve the needs of families... We are proud that we are locally owned and operated and have no conglomerate connection. We are not affiliates with any other funeral firm in Sumter or the surrounding area. We are also proud of our efficient staff, all reared here in Sumter, most graduating from Sumter County schools and have spent a lifetime serving the needs of Sumter, Shaw and surrounding communities.
