Andrew serves as a Business Developer, focusing on opportunities from the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, and with many other business teammates. Andrew is a retired Army Officer, serving in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and as Operations Research / Systems Analysis officer. He is experienced in operations concerning battle labs, lessons learned, capability development, study design, and training development and academic instruction. Andrew seeks to deliver consistently excellent and timely solutions to all business development efforts. He holds a bachelor's degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point and master's degrees from the Missouri University of Science and Technology and the Naval Postgraduate School.

As the Vice President of Business Development, Dave leads in the execution of Summit's strategic business plans and strategies. He is instrumental in organizing and leading multi-company teams resulting in the successful capture, proposal development and award of new contracts. He has over 30 years' experience providing business development and program/contract management for Federal and commercial contracts.
Dave is a retired US Army Corp of Engineers Officer and former Government Contracting Official for multi-million-dollar engineering, environmental remediation, military operations, and civil works programs. He has a Master's Degree in Management and is a Project Management Professional (PMP). He is an inductee of the National Academy of Fellows, Society of American Military Engineers and is a member of University Academic Boards for Graduate-level Education.

As the Joint Venture (JV) Support Coordinator, Emily furthers strategic partnerships by providing multi-functional support for Summit's JV teammates. She integrates corporate functional assets to assist protégé companies with opportunity requirements and project compliance. Emily works directly with Summit and protégé company leadership to develop and implement JV strategy and growth goals.
Prior to joining the Summit family in 2010, Emily served 10 years in the US Army as an active duty Military Police officer. She holds over 20 years of leadership and staff experience, along with project management, technical writing, and proposal development. Emily has earned a Master's of Business Administration in Finance, a Master's of Business and Organizational Security, and a bachelor's in Sociology.

As a Business Development Manager, Jason serves to harness Summit's capabilities and spearhead ongoing and future contract opportunities. Jason provides technical oversight of IT service support contracts as an IT professional. Jason is a humble leader and team player with experience in military IT and cybersecurity support within multi-domain Joint and coalition environments. He understands the customer and the challenges faced with providing the right solution that matches the requirement.
Jason is a retired Army Signal Officer with 21 years of service. He is a problem solver and strives to provide the best solution with excellent customer care; evident in his passion and care to extend communications and IT support to Soldiers in austere environments from tactical to strategic level engagements. He is well versed in multi-service, joint, coalition service support to DoD and other federal agencies. Jason has an entrepreneurial spirit and is a former successful business owner. Jason leads with integrity with strong moral values needed in any business engagement.
As the Director of Contracts, Jeanette is responsible for all contract, subcontract, teaming agreements, and NDAs. Jeanette works closely with senior leadership and Program Managers to keep them abreast of all contract activities. Prior to joining Summit Technologies Jeanette managed the Project Cost activities for a DOD firm specializing in government contacting.
Jeanette has over 22 years of experience in the Department of Defense (DOD) and United States Air Force (USAF) in government accounting and contracts. She possesses an Associates of Applied Science in Electronics Engineering Technology, an Associates in Applied Science in Avionic Systems Technology, and a Bachelor of Applied Science, Cum Laude in Resource Management.
John is our program manager at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (Fort Benning, Georgia) and leads business development pursuits while managing multiple government contracts. John brings a wealth of experience as a U.S. Army Veteran with over 28 years of service in the Infantry having held positions ranging from Drill Sergeant to Battalion Commander. His expertise in leadership, operations, and strategic planning enhances our opportunity analysis, pipeline development, and capture management capabilities that impact both prime and subcontracting efforts across various government agencies. Leveraging his background as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, John creatively and efficiently improves operational effectiveness by streamlining processes that maximize results.
His education background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Clemson University and a Master of Science in Administration and Leadership from Central Michigan University. John also holds a master's certificate in applied project management from Villanova University and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership (D.S.L) from Liberty University. Summit's owner, Joseph F. Funaro, Ph.D., has over 40 years of experience as an innovator in training and human factors technology in both government and industry sectors. A former Marine Corps and Naval Officer with over 23 years of active-duty service, Dr. Funaro is fluent in the technical and practical aspects of successful defense industry business operations and program management.

Kathleen is the Human Resources Specialist with expertise in employee relations, total rewards/compensation and benefits and employee health and safety. Before joining the Summit Corporate staff, she served as a Functional Training Support Specialist with a concentration in human resources, administration, and property management/control for the MCoE SFATSS contract on Fort Moore, GA. As the Human Resources Specialist, Kathleen manages the companies benefits, personnel action, employee on-boarding/out-processing, policy compliance and general HR support. She provides support to all employees in areas including educational development, performance management & labor relations.

As Director of Support Services, Melissa oversees the general operations of the internal support services offered in the areas of Human Resources, Security, Contracts Management and Accounting. The goal of the Support Services Team is to provide superior support and resources to our employees and internal customers with focus on successfully completing the mission and ensuring customer satisfaction, The role also has a strong emphasis and ownership of the daily accounting responsibilities and functions to include providing financial reporting and analyses to key stakeholders to assist with future business planning. The Director of Support Services acts as a conduit between senior leadership, Program Managers and Summit Technologies team members to measure and achieve organizational goals with transparency, clear communication, and accountability. Melissa has over 25 years of finance and accounting experience. Prior to joining Summit Technologies, Melissa lead a team of accounting professionals for a company awarded the prestigious Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award. Melissa attended La Salle University in Philadelphia and also served in the U.S. Army. She graduated from the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA as an Arabic Linguist.
As a Proposal Manager, Taylor works with business development professionals, corporate leadership, program management, and teaming partners to coordinate and execute proposals from start to finish. Taylor coordinates, guides, and supervises the proposal process; helps subject matter experts develop winning content; and delivers compliant and professionally produced proposals to current and future customers. Taylor has a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, has taken several Shipley Proposal Development courses, and is APMP® Bid and Proposal Management Foundation certified.
As Program Manager for Summit's JV/Mentor-Protégé workforce under ELBS and the Mission Planning Support Contract IV (MPSC IV), Tristan's primary focus is ensuring the operational readiness of the contract's employees in supporting America's warfighter near and far. Among other sections of the contract, Tristan specializes in the rapid and worldwide deployment of the contract's technicians to accompany Air Force units and to provide MPE (Mission Planning Environment) sustainment support as required by pilots and aircrew for the mission at hand. Tristan directly manages Summit's MPSC IV staff of 115+ contractor employees in 100+ global locations. He has been with Summit since November of 2017 and has been directly involved in the contract transitions to MPSC III, MPSC Bridge I, MPSC Bridge II and MPSC IV. Tristan holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Rollins College in Central Florida.
The Summit management team is led by its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), William Funaro. William designs, plans, and implements business strategies, plans and procedures; sets comprehensive goals for continued business growth and success; establishes policies and procedures that promote company culture and vision; and oversees daily operations and the work of executives.
Prior to joining Summit William served for 23 years in a variety of management roles at the Florida Department of Revenue, General Tax Administration. William served in the United States Army as an Infantryman. William possesses a Bachelor of Science in International Relations.
