Alejandro Moreno

Alejandro is father of Eddie Moreno, a 23 year old young man who loves, music, sports and the water, Son of Martha Sandoval, grandson to Refugio and homobono, brother to 6, padrino to 4, best friend to a few and friend to many. Alejandro is a student of philosophy, psychology and human systems. Alejandro brings over 25 years of experience developing and delivering training in topics such as community mobilizing; building strong coalitions for effective substance abuse prevention practices and policies; advocacy; fatherhood; communication between parents and youth; and cultural competence. Alejandro is committed to the well-being of wellbeing of individuals, families, and communities is dependent on vigilance and renewal. As a professional, Alejandro is a trainer specializing on Fatherhood, Advocacy, Parent & Youth Leadership, Prevention and Prejudice Interruption. Has trained across California, Chicago, the continental United States, México and was honored by an invitation to Israel to develop and implement training for Arab and Jewish Israeli, American Jewish and African American youth. He is also an avid advocate for cross-cultural and family issues in the Latino segment of communities across the United States. Mr. Moreno co-founded the National Compadres Network, served as consultant to The US/Mexico Border Alliance an alcohol prevention project of the Federal Government and as Trainer for CABE the California Association for Bilingual Educators. He presently serves as the president for INVOCA/dignidad Inc., an institute for personal, family and community development. He serves on the Advisory Boards of: National Head Start Family Literacy Center, Sonoma State University; Orange County Community Housing Corporation; and, National Bootcamp for New Dads Fatherhood Program. Alejandro Moreno is an avid columnist and poet and has been featured in Selecciones of Readers Digest's, Los Angeles Times, The Orange County Register, The Christian Science Monitor, PBS's Los Niños en su Casa, Buenos Dias America. Alejandro is Bilingual and bicultural in English and Spanish.

Andrea Vonny Lee

Andrea Vonny Lee, (she/her), Oklahoma native and descendant of Freedman, grew up in Richmond, CA. Her career spans 25+ years as a performer, choreographer, dance educator, and global arts advocate. Educational accomplishments include B.A. Dance Performance & Choreography, Physical Education Teaching Credential, M.A. Secondary Education; and an Ed.D. in Educational Administration. Dr. Lee's works have been presented by Black Choreographer's Festival, San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival; African American Shakespeare Company, Nuba Dance Theater, SFSU, and Dimensions Dance Theater. Andrea is a recipient of a California Arts Council Artist-in-Residency, Philanthropic Ventures Foundation grant, and Oakland Cultural Arts Community Service Award. As founder and CEO of Cultural Links, Andrea works to bring equity to global education and study abroad for students and community and has personally led 15+ cultural heritage tours to Ghana, Benin, and Cuba. Lee wrote, "African Ontology to inform Transformational Learning" which appears in the book, Equity-Driven, High Achievement: Assessment of Student Learning and Development. Andrea's recent work, "Ain't No Turnin' Back," is a 10-act musical theater production about the life of Araminta Harriet Ross Tubman Davis which premiered in 2019 at the National Theater in Accra, Ghana.

Ruth Jeannoel

Ruth Jeannoel is a Haitian American, cultural organizer, holistic healer and writer. She lives her values of Love, Creativity and Community through raising her family with her husband and 3 beautiful children. Currently, Ruth serves as the founder and director of a Healing Justice non-profit, Fanm Saj, Inc based in Miami, FL. Ruth is a Founding Member and Owner of Dandelion Medicine Liberation Coop supporting as Lead Restorative Justice/Restorative HR trainer and serves as a Wellness Consultant with Sweet Livity, LLC. Ruth has been practicing Restorative Justice and Transformative Justice Practices since 2010 and began her formal training in 2015 with Sujatha Baliga of Impact Justice. She has over fifteen years of experience in popular education, community organizing and advocacy in the social/racial justice arenas. Additionally, she is a cultural storyteller to shift the narrative and recreate our own stories. She also holds womb wellness circles, survivor centered healing and African-centered cleansings for individuals and organizations. Ruth uses her personal creativity to shift a larger narrative of healing centered in African Spirituality. Ruth has also moved into priesthood by doing full initiation into the yoruba traditional practice of Ifa/Orisa. Ruth believes strongly in the personal being political and has a strong commitment to providing communities and individuals with tools to shift the narrative, recreate our own stories and future for the sake of Black Liberation.
