Alan commenced his surveying career via National Service duty with the 2 Topo Survey Corps and as a casual chainman with the State Rivers and Water Supply Commission. In 1956 Alan became articled to Mr. A L Windsor in Bonnie Doon and enjoyed various SR&WSC postings. BADEN COATES

Baden is currently undertaking his first year of Master of Engineering (Spatial) at the University of Melbourne. He completed his undergraduate studies in Bachelor of Science (Spatial Systems) at the University of Melbourne. In his role as the 2021 Education Officer of the Melbourne University Geomatics Society, Baden aims to provide educational experiences to both new and old students and promote surveying to the next generation of students. Outside of his studies, Baden loves to experiment with both traditional and FPV UAV, as well as tinkering with cars and cycling.

CLINT JOSEPH

Clint Joseph graduated from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Geoinformatics and Surveying (hons) in 2000, receiving the Institution of Surveyors, Australia Excellence in Surveying Award (student) for his final year research project. Whilst at university Clint was awarded the ISASA R.W. Paynter Prize and was a student representative for the surveying and affiliated courses. Clint commenced his surveying career in Warrnambool and obtained his registration to became a Licensed Surveyor in 2006. In December 2007, Clint remained in Warrnambool and founded Joseph Land Surveying Pty Ltd providing survey and land development consultancy within Warrnambool and South West Victoria. Clint provides ISV with experience obtained from being a director of a private consultancy that represents private clientele, local governments and service authorities. Clint has a broad knowledge of surveying, land development and law relating to surveying whilst also bringing with him excellent communication and consultancy skills with an enthusiasm for inclusion and education. Clint has been an active member of the regional ISV Glenelg Grampians Group holding several committee positions and regularly attends to promote surveying within the Warrnambool and district secondary school career information nights. Outside of work Clint enjoys spending time with his wife and their two very active young children travelling, attending sporting events, camping, swimming, fishing, surfing and keeping up with friends and family. Clint is an active member of his local community, regularly donating his time to local school events, charity appeals, sporting organisations and annual festivals. Clint is a volunteer Surf Life Saver at the Warrnambool Surf Life Saving Club, where he is a past board member and club chief instructor. Clint is still involved in training and assessment, is the water safety coordinator for the local junior (nipper) program and officiates at local and state carnivals.

EAMONN PINNUCK

Eamonn is currently studying a Bachelor of Applied Science (Surveying)(Honours) at RMIT University. After completing his Certificate IV in Surveying at RMIT, he worked for a year as a Cadastral Survey Assistant on property development and large civil infrastructure projects such as the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP), Major Road Projects Victoria (MRPV), and West Gate Tunnel Project (WGTP). He continues to work part-time as a Survey Assistant and, on occasion, a Survey Party Leader at Beveridge Williams. He has gained experience in Land Acquisition, Subdivision, Re-Establishment of title boundaries, Control Surveys, drafting, and Feature and Level surveys. As the 2023 Treasurer of the Geospatial Science Student Association (GSSA), Eamonn is involved in creating opportunities for the future Surveying/Geospatial Science professionals through the organisation of events and advocacy of their social, academic, and professional interests in collaboration with RMIT University and the ISV. Outside his studies, Eamonn enjoys exploring Victoria's parks, camping, skiing, tennis, and hiking

EVAN WEBSTER

Evan graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Surveying). Prior to this Evan completed a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil)/Bachelor of Business at Swinburne University. After completing his tertiary studies Evan worked for a property development firm where he was responsible for the delivery of large broad acre residential subdivisions. Evan then spent several years working abroad for one of the largest surveying companies in the United Kingdom where he worked all over England and Scotland. He was involved in a number of high profile projects including the 2012 Olympics Games in London and the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. During 2015 Evan was awarded registration as a Licensed Surveyor. He currently runs Webster Survey Group which is a family owned business that was established in 1979. Evan is the third generation of his family to be a Licensed Surveyor in Victoria. His Great-Great Grandfather Cape was a pioneer surveyor in the late 1800's and was the first person to survey many parts of Melbourne and rural Victoria while his father Neil is also a Licensed Surveyor. Currently Evan sits as Vice-Chair on the Surveying Task Force which is a body that encourages students and people seeking a career change to consider land surveying as a career. He has presented at many career events and University Open Days as well as giving guest lectures to students at RMIT.

HEATH McMAHON

Heath is in a fortunate position to have had experiences in both consultancy at Aurecon, a large multi-disciplinary organisation for 11 years followed by his current role of 7 years at Melbourne Water which is a statutory authority owned by the Victorian Government responsible for management and protection of Melbourne's major water, sewerage and drainage resources on behalf of greater Melbourne. While at Aurecon Heath completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Surveying) from RMIT in 2006 and went on to obtain his Victorian Surveying License in 2012. In Heath's time at Aurecon Heath was responsible for delivering the spatial services for many large infrastructure projects including Citylink upgrade works, Eastlink (Ringwood Tunnel section) and Regional Rail Link (Southern Cross Station to Maribyrnong River) in addition to the delivery of the Melbourne Water survey portfolio of works. This portfolio included a combination of cadastral, engineering and GIS services. In 2013 Heath joined Melbourne Water in a role which ensures that Melbourne Water is constantly challenging the way we deliver services to provide a great experience for both our internal and external customers. JASON HAY

Jason Hay is a Licensed Surveyor (VIC) and Registered Surveyor (NSW). Jason has over 25 years of experience in the land and building development sectors, he is well known within the metropolitan Melbourne and throughout the northern VIC and southern NSW region. Jason is client and project oriented which is reflected in the successful delivery of a number of large residential land developments, industrial developments, council and water authority infrastructure projects. Jason has acquired a broad experience in many fields having completed extensive work in large-scale rural and urban cadastral surveying, construction / engineering surveys, residential land and building subdivisions.

JONATHAN NEILSON

Throughout his career so far, he has been responsible for various challenging projects in the Gippsland area, surrounding high country, and projects around Melbourne. Jonathan obtained registration as a Licensed Surveyor in 2012. Jonathan has operated his own small consultancy, Gippsland Licensed Surveyors, having taken over Christopher C. Morris & Associates in 2014, which has serviced West Gippsland since 1981. Outside of work Jonathan enjoys quality family time with his wife and young son and daughter. He also enjoys sport, camping and fishing.'

KELLIE DEAN

Kellie is Principal Surveyor at Spiire and has over 15 years' experience in the Victorian property industry. Having been involved in some of Victoria's most iconic property developments, she's gained a unique understanding of surveying related project delivery. After completing a Bachelor of Geomatic Engineering and Bachelor of Science (Environmental), Kellie began her career in 2001 joining Reeds Consulting. In 2004, she became only the seventh woman in Victoria to receive her surveyor's license and is a strong, vocal advocate for women in the industry. Kellie joined Spiire in 2016 in a leadership role that includes project management and ultimate responsibility for delivery. Kellie is passionate about enhancing the profile of the surveying profession, and has been a keen participant and contributor to the ISV and the wider surveying community since her early days in the profession. She has been an advocate for the surveying profession on behalf of the Surveying Task Force and has presented at career events and secondary schools. Kellie has also been a guest lecturer at RMIT and the University of Melbourne. Kellie enjoys spending time with her family, playing netball, water sports and beach holidays.

LINDA PORTER

Linda has been a Licensed Surveyor in Victoria since November 2003 after graduating from RMIT with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Surveying) in 2000. She has worked in both urban and rural environments on a wide range of projects. Linda has been a member of the Institution of Surveyors since 1997 and joined the Board as the representative for the North Central Regional Group in 2017. Outside of work, Linda loves to spend time with her husband and three daughters.

PETER SULLIVAN

Peter Sullivan is a licensed surveyor in Victoria. An active member of the surveying profession, Peter brings approximately 20 years' experience as a director of various Victorian surveying firms, and over 30 as a member of the surveying profession in Victoria. During that time, Peter has represented the profession through the ISV on many industry related committees, including committees relating to the updating of legislation concerning the governance and regulation of surveying, and the subdivisional process. Peter was the president of the ISV in 2004, has previously sat on committee for 13 years in two stints, has been the editor of Traverse since 2005, and is a Fellow of the ISV. Peter became licensed in 1981 after completing a Bachelor of Applied Science (Surveying) in 1979 at RMIT. He was a registered surveyor in NSW between 1990 and 1994. Peter has extensive experience in the land development industry in Victoria. Peter has extensive knowledge of the subdivision of land and buildings, law relating to the creation and removal of easements and rights, adverse possession and amendment of titles. Peter now is responsible for, and leads the Victorian survey group of Cardno, a large multi-national environmental consultancy. Peter is also a member of ACSV and VEPLA, and is active in other company based development industry bodies.

RILEY ULBRICH

Riley began is surveying career working in Adelaide and Barossa. He graduated from University of South Australia in 201 0 with a Bachelor of Geoinformatics and Surveying. Since graduating Riley has been based in Melbourne. Riley is currently employed as a Licensed Surveyor with Lyssna Group. He has a particular interest in complicated nuanced cadastral and land development problems. He enjoys assisting his clients to achieve positive outcomes in a variety of small to large scale projects. Riley is an advocate for the surveying profession, and he takes pleasure in supporting young and developing surveyors in professional development. In his personal life Riley enjoys spending time with his two kids along with running, riding, swimming, gardening, and hiking. He also has a keen interest in history and etymology.

ROHAN BAKKER

A hard working, professional and patient individual who continually strives to outperform customer expectations utilising a vast array of professional, technical and listening skills that have been honed over the past ten years as a Licensed Surveyor/Land development consultant. I am a highly driven individual with a thirst for knowledge who thrives when given difficult projects to manage that require significant attention to detail. The result is positive feedback, giving the client no option but to re-engage SMEC Urban's services for the next project. My role is diverse and multi-faceted, ensuring the needs of the company are met, without costly expenditure to outside consultants, which is important in a cost conscious environment. On any given day I am conversing and negotiating with clients, consultants and local authorities; quoting for major and minor projects; dealing with outstanding debtors and ensuring all staff safety meetings are undertaken and followed through.
