After being in the healthcare field for almost 30 years, I decided to change professions and become a travel consultant. I love to travel and have been handing out advice and planning friends' trips for years.
I am Signature Expert Certified and an Aussie Specialist and my other areas of expertise are Vietnam, Peru and Eastern Europe. One of my favorite destinations is China Beach in Da Nang Vietnam and visiting Hoi An. It is beautiful and on cloudy and cold Chicago days I can look at the picture of the beach and just smile.
I have been in the travel industry for more than 40 years. I started my career in wholesale skiing, working with high school and college groups from California, and it is now considered one of my areas of expertise. I like to think of travel as a puzzle that needs everything to fit together in order to make it complete. From my wholesale experience, I like to take things apart to figure out their value, and then to put it together with the best options that match the needs of the client.
I have lived in Israel and California and love to travel to new destinations, explore places that are not quiet "popular" yet, and learn something.
Favorite destination: Italy, anywhere from Lake Como to Sicily. I love the food, people, history, and beauty of the country.
I have been a travel consultant since 1978. During that time I have booked both commercial and leisure clients. I enjoy cruising and love both ocean and river cruises. Antarctica is the only continent which I have not toured. I feel lucky to be associated with Travel 100 Group!

I have been a travel advisor since 1988 and love what I do. Having traveled to all 7 continents, including Antarctica (twice) , and all 50 states, I feel very knowledgeable on world travel, must-see-sights, fabulous hotels, and memorable journeys. Having been on cruises from the Amazon to Alaska to Southeast Asia, I pride myself on all forms of travel. My business has been built from client referrals, as there is nothing on earth I enjoy more than spoiling and pampering my clients. Well, except spoiling and pampering myself on vacations as well. I enjoy assisting my clients with every type of vacation, including adventure travel, family holidays, tour packages, and luxury beach vacations. I excel in putting together travel through Europe, South America, Australia, Africa, Asia and, of course, the USA. But that is only half my business. I also specialize in corporate travel and have some companies that have been with me for 25+ years. I am fully knowledgeable on business travel, and adore my corporate clients as well.
Because I travel so extensively, and have been doing this for so long, I have made many wonderful contacts all over the world that go above and beyond to take great care of my clients. I have been in the travel industry for more than 20 years and specialize in Ireland, Scotland, France, Italy, and Hawaii. I love seeing the world and giving others than opportunity as well. I started in the travel industry in the early 1980s at Highland Park Travel where I learned from the ground up. I now mostly specialize in corporate travel and enjoy booking tours for clients.
I have traveled to Greece, Spain, Turkey, London, Asia, and my favorite destination, Mexico. Some of my favorite travel memories include riding a donkey up a hill in Santorini and walking the back streets of Hong Kong.
I have been in the business for over 30 years and plan different types of trips all over the world, though my focus is now mostly in Corporate Travel. I have traveled through Asia and France, and sailed on quite a few Crystal Cruises.
I would say that my all-time favorite destination is Paris. I love the nightlife, the freedom I feel, and the energy from the locals. I travel solo quite often so my memories are very personal to me, but I have made so many memories with complete strangers - that is what I love about travel. Get out there and dance, socialize. Learn about the country and the history, but also the history of its people. Become educated about the area you are in and not just by a tour. Live it!
Formerly a CPA specializing in corporate tax matters and audits, I joined the Travel 100 Group nearly twenty years ago and have never looked back.

Since starting my dream job at Travel 100 Group in 2007, I've had the opportunity to travel the world, spending several years living in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as Vienna, Austria. These adventures further ignited my desire to learn and explore, and I bring that knowledge and passion to the travel planning process.
I have visited more than 30 countries and earned a Master's Degree in Tourism from the University of Illinois. I love discovering new and emerging destinations along with old favorites, as well as staying informed of the latest travel trends. I send clients all over the world and enjoy working with a diverse set of styles and interests.

Memorable travel moment: On a B&R Adventure several years ago in Morocco, we were dressed in Moroccan dress and taken into the Sahara Desert on Camels and met by Berber Tribesmen playing music and welcoming us. We had tents with camp beds and a lantern. We were served a wonderful dinner and went to bed when it was dark.
Early in the morning I walked out to the desert and climbed a dune to look out as the sun was rising in the Sahara. The next thing I knew, here came a gentleman with a cup of morning coffee
I made my first trip across the Atlantic at the age of 2 and have been travelling ever since. I have taken many memorable trips, some of which have included Thailand, Africa (4 times) and the Galapagos Islands.
It would be simple to say that after 30+ years in the travel industry I specialize in everything and everywhere; however, I especially love planning travel to Europe, particularly France, Italy, and Ireland. My first trip to Europe was through my alma mater, the University of Illinois, and the Free University of West Berlin. I spent 10 glorious weeks traveling through 13 European countries.
One of my favorite travel memories was attending a cooking class with six other American women in France, taught by none other than Julia Child. I was so fortunate to be taking a cooking class in France, let alone be taught how to make puff pastry and soufflé by Julia Child! Thankfully, I was in a monthly cooking class with friends where we met up to make fabulous lunches prior, or it could have been a potentially embarrassing situation. I believe that is why part of my travel often involves food. I also enjoy taking in the art, architecture, and people.
I cherish all of my past European travels as well as trips to Bali, India, and Africa. I am eager to finally visit South America, especially Argentina and Chile.
I was a flight attendant before I became a travel agent, so I have always loved the travel industry. I have been an agent for over 25 years.

I have been planning wonderful vacations for my clients since 1976. I have lived several times in Vienna (a one year stay, a six month stay, and more) so I know Austria plus Central and Eastern Europe very well. I have also lived in England and Italy and have traveled extensively and enthusiastically throughout Europe as well as Asia and Australia. My own personal travel focuses on art, architecture, and music -- and good food. I have a number of professional certifications -- Certified Travel Agent, Aussie Specialist, and Austria Expert.
For me, travel is a chance to discover new places in the world as well as new places in myself. Some of the experiences that have done this for me are: learning to love opera on multiple visits to the Vienna State Opera House; being taught about the depth of human kindness when the head of a Buddhist nunnery in Myanmar gave me an impromptu blessing; discovering I could hike up to a waterfall in New Zealand which I was sure was beyond my capability; searching for family roots in Lithuania; watching herds of zebras and wildebeests on the run for food and water from a hot air balloon in Tanzania; the humbling experience to realize that beautiful art was created by pre-historic people on the cave walls of southwest France. My discoveries continue.

I have been a travel professional since 1981, planning trips for people who love to travel. I help couples, families, and small groups get the most out of their destinations. Active vacations, whether that means hiking or cooking lessons, or whale watching, skiing or scuba diving, help to do this, as do our wonderful private guides.
I like to ski and to scuba dive, and plan travel to special destinations for those activities. I want to give my clients the best value for their trips, so they have the best possible memories, because those memories are priceless.

In 1991, I began working with a construction-related association and through referrals and networking, this became my "boutique" client base. However, what really kept me going and growing is the "personalized service" I provide my clients. I take care of them just as if they were a family member. Whether it's simply a domestic airline flight or the most luxurious and detailed customized trip in Africa, I work at creating memorable travel memories and service.
My favorite destinations are: Italy, Jamaica (or anywhere in the Caribbean!), and Mexico. I recently traveled on two European river cruises and am now madly in love with that product. Domestically, I love Charleston and Savannah, and any U.S. city like Austin, New Orleans, and Memphis that is jam-packed with Blues Clubs!
Best travel memories: Completing the walk through the Siq (gorge) in Petra and facing the amazing red clay edifice of The Treasury. Ascending Machu Picchu - the gorgeous photos do not compare with the real thing. The weeklong cooking class I did in Tuscany with the Italian Grandmothers.
I am a former high school history teacher and have been a travel consultant for 30 years. Having travelled to most continents by land and sea, I am able to create independent itineraries for many destinations. I book many multigenerational families on cruises and land packages. I have driven and taken trains and buses in many places in Europe. My husband and I have been accompanied on some trips with our family including our grandchildren.

I was born in the Hague, spent my childhood in Caracas, Venezuela and London, and went to high school in Holland. After high school, I took a one year course at the Universidad Complutense, Madrid, in Filosofias y Letras. I also studied French at the G.U. in Amsterdam. After marrying, I lived in Columbus, Ohio; Chicago; New York; Geneva and Rome before settling in Chicago.

As a Member of the Travel 100 Group for the last 27 years, I think I know my clients quite well. My goal is to keep travel new and interesting for all of my clients. This approach works particularly well with families, whose requirements change as the children grow up.
I try to add a personal touch to all of my guests' itineraries. For example, if they request a one week get away, I will try to insure that they have nonstop flights, and a transfer to meet them at the airport to maximize the most of their time. If they are traveling to a non-English speaking destination, I will provide them with some key phrases in the spoken language to make their transition easier. I also make sure that my clients have free time, wherever they travel, so that they can soak in the local atmosphere on their own.
Their vacation belongs to them. I will customize their itinerary to meet their wants and needs in every way I can. Whether it is basking on the beach, or sipping wine at a vineyard, I want to create the perfect moments to insure lasting memories.
