Adam Keeth

Adam Keeth, Director of Distribution Engineering, leads a team in overseeing the engineering of major Distribution capital projects. His role involves establishing design standards, managing engineering contractors and the strategic planning of business operations, and other responsibilities. Keeth began his career at SWEPCO in 2004 as a distribution engineer in Shreveport and worked in a variety of management roles over the next several years, including as the Network Supervisor in Shreveport, where he was responsible for the engineering and operation of Shreveport's underground network and the four-year risk mitigation project. He became the Region Support Manager in 2018, a position that involved leading SWEPCO's contract construction and project management groups. Prior to his current role, he served as the Distribution Design Manager. Keeth has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston. He is a member of his alma mater's Electrical Engineering Industrial Advisory Board. Keeth lives in Springdale, Ark. with his wife, Ashleigh and their three children.

Amanda Keeney - CCO

Amanda Keeney serves as director, Corporate Communications. Together with her team she has responsibility for all aspects of internal and external communications functions for the operating company across its multi-state service territory. Amanda joined AEP SWEPCO in 2023 and most recently was employed by Alcoa Corp's global corporate communications team managing aspects of both internal and external communications strategy and execution, including change management, executive positioning, and social media channel growth. Keeney brings experiences in both corporate and agency-settings working on behalf of some of the world's largest companies and best known brands. Prior to Alcoa, she was a marketing consultant, a senior vice president for Mitchell, a Dentsu-owned Public Relations agency, and was a director of global associate communications, among other roles, for Walmart. Earlier in her career she led communications for International Paper's Texarkana Mill and was a newspaper reporter for a regional daily. Keeney has a bachelor's degree in mass communications from Southern Arkansas University at Magnolia and a master's in communication from Jones International University. Amanda and her family make their home in Texarkana, Texas.

Brenda Meyers

Brenda Meyers is SWEPCO's Director of Business Operations Support. She is responsible for the company's financial planning and performance, and coordinating with other AEP organizations that impact financial and operating results. Meyers began her career with SWEPCO in 1987 as an accountant. Since then, she has held a number of positions with the company including Manager of Credit & Collections, Supervisor of Budgeting, and analyst positions in Business Operations Support, Risk Management and Planning & Analysis. Meyers hold a bachelor's degree in accounting for Louisiana State University - Shreveport. She is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants. She is a member of Arkansas Women in Power.

Brett Mattison - COO, President

Brett Mattison is president and chief operating officer of Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO). He is responsible for the electric distribution system, engineering, operations, construction and maintenance, serving approximately 547,000 customers in Louisiana, Arkansas, northeast Texas, and the panhandle of Texas. Mattison most recently was president and chief operating officer of Kentucky Power, a sister company of SWEPCO. Prior to his role with Kentucky Power, he was the director of Customer Services and Marketing for SWEPCO. In this position from 2004 to 2019, he was responsible for all aspects of customer service and marketing. His oversight included the management of SWEPCO's largest customers, wholesale customers, as well as all aspects of meter reading and meter services, energy efficiency and process improvement. Mattison's organization worked closely with other departments, such as distribution, billing and account operations, solutions centers, regulatory, community affairs, dispatch, and transmission. Mattison has held a number of positions with SWEPCO, including customer services supervisor; manager, customer relations; middle and mass market manager; marketing manager; and residential marketing consultant. He joined the company in 1990. Community service has been a vital part of Mattison's career. He is on the boards of the Paramount Arts Center in Ashland, Ky., and of One East Kentucky, which is focused on economic development in Eastern Kentucky. He also is a member of the Louisiana Committee of 100, serves on the advisory council of the Center for Public Utilities and is a member of the AEP talent board. A Louisiana native of the Shreveport-Bossier City area, Mattison has served as a commissioner for the Bossier Metropolitan Planning Commission, as president of the United Way of Northwest Louisiana, as two-time chair of the United Way campaign, as board member of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce and as board and executive board member of the Bossier City Chamber of Commerce. Mattison earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Finance from Louisiana Tech University and a commercial banking degree from the American Institute of Banking. He and his wife, Lori, have four adult children and six grandchildren.

Brian Bond

Brian Bond is vice president - External Affairs for Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO). His strategic focus is on community relations, economic development and public policy matters, particularly as they affect AEP's business in the increasingly competitive electricity industry. He participates in building and maintaining external relationships with regulators, legislators, community leaders, consumers and other stakeholders who have an impact on AEP activities in Arkansas, Louisiana and east Texas. Bond served as state president - Arkansas/Louisiana for AEP from Aug. 31, 2003, until June 1, 2004. He served as environmental affairs manager - Louisiana and manager - waste management & mitigation services for American Electric Power Service Corporation from 2000 until he became state president. Previously he held various environmental management positions with Central and South West over an 18-year period. Prior to his environmental service with AEP, Bond served for two years in the CSW Environmental Services group as corporate waste manager. From 1990 to 1998, Bond served as environmental affairs manager for SWEPCO. He started his career with SWEPCO in 1981 as an environmental chemist and worked with General Motors Corporation in the environmental engineering group from 1989-1990 prior to rejoining SWEPCO. Bond serves on the Louisiana State University-Shreveport Foundation Board, the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry Environmental Quality Steering Committee and the Senior Council of the Board of Directors for the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce. Bond received a bachelor's degree in natural and applied sciences and a master of business administration degree from Louisiana State University-Shreveport.

Drew Seidel

Drew Seidel is responsible for the electric distribution system, engineering, operations, construction and maintenance for SWEPCO's more than 535,000 customers in Louisiana, Texas, and Arkansas. Before being named a vice president in 2018, Seidel served as the plant manager at the Welsh Power Plant in Pittsburgh, Texas. He also has served as plant manager of SWEPCO's H.W. Pirkey Power Plant in Hallsville, Texas; energy production superintendent at Welsh Plant; and plant manager at Knox Lee Power Plant in Longview, Texas. Seidel first joined West Texas Utilities Co. (WTU) in 1992 and later served as plant manager at Central Power and Light Co.'s (CPL) Victoria Power Station in Victoria, Texas. WTU and CPL were sister companies of SWEPCO in the Central and South West system before its merger with American Electric Power in 2000. Seidel earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin and a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University. He completed the AEP Strategic Leadership Program at The Ohio State University's Fisher College of Business. Seidel and his children live in Longview, Texas.

James Lyles

James Lyles, director of Distribution Region Operations, leads a team that oversees the construction, operation, maintenance and emergency restoration of the Distribution system and Distribution Dispatch Center to provide safe, timely and reliable service to customers. His role involves ensure Distribution assets are planned and operated in compliance with all applicable safety and reliability standards, contractual and tariff obligations, and all federal, state, and local regulations and laws. His new role also involves overseeing the coordination of contractors and administration of resource planning/work scheduling, risk identification/mitigation, business continuity planning, and crisis management. Lyles began his career in 2005 as a Distribution dispatcher. He was promoted to a system operator two years later and a supervisor in 2010. In 2015, Lyles became the reliability manager, a position in which he oversaw line contractors, forestry department, and risk and reliability of the system. Since 2017, he has been the DDC manager. Lyles completed AEP's Leadership Targeted Development Program in 2015 and has served as a SWEPCO representative on the Achieving Excellence Program, which enhances existing budgeting processes and leverages the skills, knowledge, and creativity of employees to drive down costs. He was involved in leading the implementation of the initial ARCOS callout platform for SWEPCO. These digital tools make it easier to capture field data and track resources. And he assisted in storm recovery efforts in Puerto Rico in 2018. He also is a member of SWEPCO's Customer Experience team. Lyles has a bachelor's degree from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, La. He played collegiate baseball first at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark. and later at NSU. Lyles lives in Benton, La. with his wife, Candace, and their three children.

Lynn Ferry-Nelson

Lynn Ferry-Nelson is SWEPCO's Director of Regulatory Services. She is responsible for regulatory matters in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas, including the preparation, filing and litigation of regulatory cases. Ferry-Nelson served as SWEPCO's Manager of External Affairs in Longview, Texas, from July 2016 to August 2017. Previously she was senior manager, performance management and project support, for Southern California Edison Company since 2009. Ferry-Nelson has more than 14 years of utility regulatory and commission experience, and has worked for the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, American Electric Power, Cleco Power LLC, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, as well as Transmission and Distribution regulatory operations at Southern California Edison. A native of Huntington Beach, Calif., Ferry-Nelson earned a bachelor of business administration degree in finance with honors from New Mexico State University. She has a Project Manager Certification from the University of California at Irvine. She served on the Longview Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Chamber's Education Foundation Board, and Partners in Prevention Board of Directors.

Monte A. McMahon - VP

Monte McMahon is vice president, generating assets for Southwestern Electric Power Company, responsible for the overall operations, maintenance, continuous improvement and safety culture at SWEPCO's power plants. McMahon also will work to align SWEPCO's power generation activities with the company's financial and regulatory performance. Previously, McMahon was vice president, generating assets for Public Service Company of Oklahoma. Prior to that, McMahon served as plant manager of Oklaunion Plant in Vernon, Texas. While at Oklaunion Plant, McMahon helped establish strategies for reacting to wind generation and transmission constraints in the region. Since joining the company in 1991, McMahon has worked in plant engineering, regional services and plant maintenance at several gas- and coal-fired generating facilities. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.

Paul Pratt

Paul Pratt, director of Customer Services & Marketing, is responsible for bringing efficient electric technologies to homes, businesses and communities, energy efficiency programs and customer service. Pratt most recently served as manager of Energy Efficiency and Consumer Programs for Louisiana and Texas. He joined SWEPCO in 2006 as an energy efficiency and consumer programs coordinator. Pratt earned a bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University Shreveport and an MBA from Louisiana Tech University. Pratt volunteers with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Dream Home Giveaway, coaches his daughter's softball team, and is active in his church. Pratt and his wife, Tayme, live in Shreveport. He has two daughters.

Peter Kimani

Peter Kimani is SWEPCO's Director of Regulatory Services in Texas. He is responsible for regulatory matters in Texas and with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Peter joined Electric Transmission of Texas (ETT) as director of Regulatory and Finance in 2019. ETT is a joint venture between subsidiaries of AEP and Berkshire Hathaway Energy Company. Prior to joining ETT, Peter held positions of increasing responsibility within AEPSC in Accounting and Regulatory Services. Peter also provided regulatory accounting services for SWEPCO rate cases and formula rate plan filings prior to joining ETT. Peter has prepared numerous utility regulatory filings and filed testimony for SWEPCO and other AEP West operating companies before the regulatory commissions, including the Public Utility Commission of Texas. Before joining AEP, Peter worked as a forensic accounting consultant managing high-profile large and complex engagements at a regional and a national consulting firm. Prior to that, he worked as a public accountant managing financial audits of not for profit, governmental and private organizations. Peter earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Egerton University in Kenya, a master's degree in accounting and a master's degree in International Affairs from Ohio University. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Ohio. He, his wife Lilian and two sons reside in Austin, Texas.

Thomas P. Brice

Thomas P. Brice, Jr. is SWEPCO's Vice President of Regulatory & Finance. He is responsible for SWEPCO's regulatory and financial strategy, the company's budgeting process and he serves as the primary interface with SWEPCO's parent company, American Electric Power, for finance and regulatory activities. Brice had served as SWEPCO's Director of Regulatory Services since 2010. In that role, he was responsible for regulatory matters with the Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas public service commissions. Brice, who joined SWEPCO in 1992, also has served as the Director of Business Operations Support, an audit manager, and as a senior consultant in planning and analysis, business ventures, and regulatory. He graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting with a minor in finance. He is an (inactive) Certified Public Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor. Brice has served as a Board Member of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce and the Regional Air Service Alliance. He also has served on the Shreveport Airport Task Force, coached Bossier Dixie and Bossier Little League Baseball, and served as President of the Men's Club and on the Staff Parish Relations Committee at Asbury United Methodist Church. Brice lives in Benton, Louisiana, with his wife, Mary, and their three children.
